#9 of 22 hotels in Swansea
In line with local government recommendations, we have closed the restaurant and bar in our hotel. Where possible, we are providing room service or grab and go options for guests. The Ibis Swansea Bay hotel, featuring 99 modern rooms, a restaurant and a bar, is ideally situated in the heart of the SA1 waterfront development. The hotel is just five minutes from centre of the city of Swansea and its cafe and bar district, a ten to fifteen minutes drive to tourist attractions such as the Dylan Thomas Centre, the Grand Theatre, the National Maritime Museum as well as Gower Peninsula and its award winning beaches. Free car parking is available to hotel guests.

A pleasant stay as usual. The staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the room was unbearably hot due to the lack of air conditioning and the inability to open the window more than a crack. Our sleep was not as restful as it normally is as a consequence.

Stayed here shortly before first lockdown and stayed again recently. The hotel is easy to find as you come in to Swansea from Cardiff and has plenty of free parking. It is still very well-organised and beautifully clean. The staff are efficient and take every opportunity to be helpful, thoughtful and kind. The ingredients used in the breakfast are of high quality and the amount of both cold and hot elements is generous. The rooms are not large, but they are big enough and well planned. I particularly appreciated having an iron and ironing board. The new beds are extremely comfortable. We had requested a quiet room and it was peaceful. The walk-in shower felt very safe for those of us who might worry about slipping. Overall this hotel has proven itself to be consistent in its cleanliness, efficiency and generosity, with the staff coming out, once again, as the star feature.

My friend and I stayed here for one night en route back to Cardiff/London, it was an easy drive in, drive out route to the M4. The postcode tries to take you to McDonalds but that only goes to show how close the hotel is for breakfast! We walked into Swansea city centre in 30mins. The route follows the bay and cuts through a housing development (adding to the safety feeling) Parking was free and easy. Rooms were basic but new and comfortable. The beds were soft and comfortable with the best mattress toppers for a cosy nights sleep. The bathroom decor was modern with gel and soap, towels were soft and white.

Very clean hotel, friendly staff, especially Maria on reception. Good location for the Marina, beach and city centre. No need to drive through the Swansea traffic to get here, and there is ample free parking.
