We have stayed at Village Hotel Swindon and really enjoyed our stay. Decided to give Swansea a go but very disappointed. The room was worn and the bed base missing a caster. The mattress was the most uncomfortable that we have ever slept on. It was nice to have a settee in the room but it was extremely hard to sit on. Breakfast was mediocre however meal in grill was very nice.

4 nights in this hotel which were slightly above average. More facilities than a premier inn but room experience slightly lower with the exception of toiletries. Bar/restaurant is full of large screen televisions showing sky sports news which is so dull as it’s on repeat but still but draws your eye. The menu is very limited, predominantly filled with burgers. Food is well presented though and tasty and there’s a Starbucks on site which is nice. Staff are a mixed bunch, either top of their game or zombie like plodding around the place. Apparently there is an app to pay for food which may be the best bet as ordering is painful and if you put it on your room bill, there is no confirmation or breakdown when you check out. You literally could be paying for a gin and tonic that Karen had on her way out of the gym.

The hotel and restaurant staff where wonderful, very friendly and warm. We felt really welcome! Breakfast could do with some more options such as fruit, yoghurt, pastries. Bathroom was OK but not so modern. We had a view from our room of the harbour and the sea, breathtaking. You can walk easily to Swansea Station or town centre in about 20 minutes. You can walk to Swansea beach in about 30 minutes. There are many riverside restaurants nearby, within 10 minutes walking distance.

Easy to find but further out than we expected. Your close to the tail end of the maritime Quarter and there are restaurants and bars within 20 mins walk. The Beach is a good half hour walk. The hotel is clean The beds are very hard though abs hurt my hips to sleep on. This is personal choice though abs might suit some people. It’s on wheels though so if you lean up against the headboard. Expect it to move ! Good sized bed and bathroom. Good shower Hairdryer Iron and board in the room Nice towels Lumpy quilt and the pillows are pretty soft so if you lean against the headboard the bed will move and you lose your pillows. Saving grace is the staff. Great people!! Friendly helpful!! Especially in the dining room. We are there every evening and although the menu is limited, we enjoyed all of our meals Thanks to Ethan for a great service! Breakfast was ok. Nothing special but perfectly edible.

Not a good night's sleep due to people outside the hotel until very late. There should have been a fan in the room as it was very hot. The rooms are dated compared to other village hotels but it was clean and tidy.
