drove down from manchester and found my hotel had closed down six months ago (the white house) really annoying that you can still book it, anyway googled trip advisor and found the hurst deane 450 yards up the road and what a welcome sight it was, stayed on top floor in a very very clean room thank you, and the bed was that good i am buying one. only gripe is i paid £50 with no breakfast please put local knowledge leaflets in the rooms so we can find a decent place to eat.

Stayed over on a Sunday night to watch a Jess Glynne concert in the nearby Singleton Park, found a parking spot just outside on the road so that was good. The hotel was fresh and spacious, there was a kitchen area to cook in which we used late at night for a Indian takeaway we bought after the concert. Overall I’d say a great place to stay if you are going to any future concerts at Singleton park. It’s a 20-30 minute walk into the city area and we walked to the Wetherspoons for breakfast on the Monday morning.

Just looking for a basic overnight stay, booked double room. We definitely got basic. The bed wAs a pullout. Crockery dirty. Bathroom smelly of dirty drains. Shower tiny and leaked. Poorly equipped. Nothing friendly , no pleasantries with this place. Felt very ‘studenty’. Really not nice.

Have stayed here numerous times, mainly due to its closeness to the restaurants and bars of the Uplands area. For my room, it was a bit of a haul up to the third floor, and the bathroom needs updating. Parking was not good but I was lucky this time! Staff are very polite and welcomed me back. Excellent breakfast. Overall, good value for money.
