Small family-run; friendly guesthouse, located on the seafront of stunning Swansea Bay. A short walk into town, university, Grand Theatre, LC2 and Brangwyn Hall. Lots of local restaurants and pubs, plenty more plus night life in town. A short drive from the Mumbles and the wonderful Gower beaches.

What an amazing place! My second time here. My original visit was for one night in a single room with a sea view. My second time was supposed to be the same room but I got upgraded to a double room again with a sea view and this time I stayed for 5 nights, I only wish it was longer! I really cannot fault anything about this property. It is absolutely spotless, the breakfast is huge, the location is perfect, right opposite the beach and the town centre is about a 10 minute walk but there are bus stops very close as well. There is a massive Tesco just up the road next to the bus station and shopping centre. The main attraction here are your hosts, they are fabulous and can't do enough for you, always asking if there is anything you need etc. I cannot wait to return but will definitely be returning shortly. By the way check out the information guide they have in the rooms, honestly they should be working for Visit Wales there is soo much information!! Thank you again for another very happy stay.

A perfect few days stay at the Beachcomber Guest House. Everything you would expect from a traditional B&B. Central location, directly opposite the beach with the most amazing view from our room, comfortable bed, perfectly cooked breakfast with the option of continental, tea, coffee, juice. Most of all very welcoming hosts. Would definitely recommend and stay again in the future.

I booked a single room for £45 which I thought was very good value. Darren and Debbie were lovely hosts and cook an amazing full English. The building itself is so pretty with flowers in bloom. The room was absolutely spotless and the shower was heavenly with good pressure! Even the hairdryer was powerful which is so rare in hotels/B&Bs, but much appreciated. There was plenty of storage/surfaces for unpacking, and the sea view was aamzing, even on such a rainy weekend. Few minor downsides were the wifi speed, it kept dropping out on me for 15/20 minutes at a time and the 4G isnt great here. I kept bumping my head on the lamp above the bed (and im only 5’2”). The walls are very thin (but this is more of an advisory to other guests) I could hear EVERYTHING my neighbours did and said, so just be a bit cautious on the volume. The plumbing in other rooms is also a bit noisy, could just have been my room that was affected though. I thought the busy road would be a problem, but the windows were fantastic and blocked the noise really well. All in all, very good stay, lovely B&B, fantastic location, good value!

We booked the B&B because of the great reviews on another portal and were bitterly disappointed. Yes, the Beachcomber is right on the beach, but there is a four-lane, busy road in between that is not mentioned. The owners are very friendly, but the house and rooms seem a bit 'run down' and showing their age. Luckily our room was at the back so we didn't hear the road. The room was very small, the bathroom even smaller. We had problems with the shower, the temperature went from ice cold to boiling hot within a few seconds. The overall condition was rather run down. The breakfast was also not convincing. Canned tomatoes were served for the cooked breakfast. As I said, the owners are very friendly and nice, so it is difficult for me to rate them, but what is a fact must be stated.

Friendly, really helpful people, room was very clean and comfy with all you could need (hairdryer, shampoo, tea and coffee ...). Filling breakfast, any extras catered for - they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Lovely location with views of the sea from the bed! Stay here.

Great little B&B in a fantastic location in Swansea. I booked a single room which looked to to the beach across the road. It had an ensuite shower, however the toilet was out in the main hallway. Very clean and neat, I had a very comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was freshly cooked and served. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

This is a small, friendly, family-run guest house facing the sea on a busy road within comfortable walking distance of the city centre. The rooms were comfortable and clean and well-heated, with double glazing to keep most of the traffic noise out. Mine host is a very friendly guy, for whom nothing was too much trouble, and he knocked us up an excellent veggie breakfast the next day. A pleasant stay, and very reasonably priced.

Location was excellent being a 5 minute walk from the function we were attending. Beach is just over the road. No car park but street parking was easy to find and free. This is a typical guest house but the owners have made it a real cut above the norm. They are friendly, helpful, always smiling, and obviously enjoy what they do.
Our room was on the second floor, so the stairs became a bit tedious. Twenty years ago, no problem, but knees aren't as good as they were!! The room itself was snug, but that was partly because of the large bed, which was brilliant. Neat, clean and with everything you'd expect. The shower took a bit of working out to get the right temperature, but no real problem.
Breakfast was very good in terms of quality and choice. My only gripe was that real tomatoes instead of tinned would have been preferable, but that's really nit-picking about my personal choice.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay, and I'm sure we'll be back next year.

Visited Swansea for a much needed four day break, as soon as my wife, myself and our two dogs arrived at the Beachcomber in Oystermouth Road, Swansea Darren and Rebecca made us feel welcome.
The room was comfortable and clean and we slept really well.
The breakfast provided plenty of choice and my wife really liked the vegetarian options (the dogs also loved the sausages they were given).
The thing that really made the stay so enjoyable though was the friendly and extremely helpful nature of Darren and Rebecca.
If I stay in Swansea again I will certainly stay at the Beachcomber and would recommend it to anyone else!
