This B&B is located by Lisburn road coming out of Belfast city center. You can walk to the city centre in 20 minutes. I found Lisburn road to be safe during the day without any problem. A taxi from the city airport was 12 pounds. A taxi to the city centre was 5 pounds. I got a room with a...

I had a nice stay for 2 nights at this B&B. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was in a single room with shared bath and the price was right. It is located around the corner from a large university and the parking situation is atrocious if you arrive during the day (they only have "on street" parking) but after...

Stayed 2 nights at camera guest house. Initially thought area was rather run down with derelict houses in street, but it got better as you drove further down street. Our hosts were not available on arrival but there was a note with instructions to let ourselves in make ourselves at home. Room was small but adequate. Twin beds were comfortable...

Manager was pleasant. Fairly centrally locate. Room was dated and musty. No hair dryers. One outlet high on wall so tough to charge phones etc. bathroom worse than ones I had in college. Noisy plumbing, bad lighting, no hooks to hang towels or anything else, tiny shower, low sink makes it hard to wash face. Felt like places I stayed...

We booked this guest house back In February when the reviews were very good. Unfortunately the business has, I think, undergone a change of ownership and standards I feel have fallen. The room we were given had not been properly cleaned for some time as evidenced by the amount of dust on the top of the sills and wardrobe. There...

The hosts at the Camera House were incredibly helpful in booking tours around the city. They had great suggestions on local pubs and restaurants that would satisfy a large variety of people. Breakfast was modified to meet our vegetarian needs with no hesitation and it was delicious! We chose to walk everywhere we went and found that this guest house...

Surprisingly very quiet although the guesthouse had many people staying there. The building is old and cared for. The location was ideal for us---about 2-3 blocks from the Ulster Museum and the Botanical Gardens. Under 5 GBP for a taxi from the train or bus station.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in early May. Manager very helpful, friendly, and cooked great Irish breakfast. The rooms, while a little dated, were clean and quiet. There was also a nice sitting room for guests and parking wasn't a problem. Not far from town center...we are in mid-sixties and walked downtown in 20 minutes. We...

I was expecting something really good from the camera guesthouse. It was ok but nothing that made it stand out from the crowd. The rooms were clean and nice fresh towels were provided every day. Our bathroom was suffering from a bit of mould and flaky paint, nothing that couldn't be sorted out quite easily. The road out of the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camera Guest House is an authentic 19th-century Victorian building situated in the leafy suburbs of South Belfast. It takes its name from the many photographers who stayed here during the 'troubles' who wanted to avoid the bigger, easily-targeted hotels.
