Travelodge Belfast Central is often commended for its prime location by many guests, though some warn that the proximity to nightlife can bring noise into the rooms. While the staff is frequently praised for their friendliness, there are mixed feelings about the hotel's value, with some reviewers finding the rooms overpriced and basic. Cleanliness is generally well-regarded, yet travelers suggest that updates could improve the experience. Room conditions, including stuffiness and outdated facilities, have been noted as areas for improvement.

Travelodge is always a solid choice for a midweek break and it again does not fail.

I stayed here with my university for 2 nights on an education visit to Belfast and it offered great accommodation for the trip.

I cannot comment upon prices since I do not know how much rooms cost due to paying an all inclusive fee for the trip. The room was great quality as always and the shower was one of the best I've ever had. Tea and coffee facilities were present as well as a television, with comfy beds too.

The only disappointing part was the breakfast, as the fairly lackluster Full English was not very filling. The rest of the breakfast amenities were lacking in choice too, but that is not much of an issue.

The location of the hotel is great, a very short walk from local pubs and a 10 minute walk to the large shopping centre in the centre of Belfast.

Overall a decent stay with a great hotel

Just back from a 2 night stay. We paid 247 GBP, quite an expense that did not quite match the available facilities in Room 601. The bathroom requires attention, parts falling off the shower and just generally tired looking. It was a noisy room, you could hear upstairs and next door clearly, word for word. The staff on reception however, very friendly and professional. Upon arrival, one of the domestic staff members had a yellow duster over her mouth rather than a mask as she walked the hallway. That was rather amusing.

With hotels taking advantage of Staycations, perhaps Travelodge should ensure a better level of facilities if they are willing to charge their customers over the odds for a place to put your head down.

The location of the hotel was good and central. I would not stay at this Travelodge again unless it went under an overhaul.

Check-In was quick and easy. I was about two hours early and room was ready. Although the front desk is usually unmanned it was still safe. There’s a vending machine on main floor.

Location is great. There are Coffee shops, restaurants and markets to get groceries from.
City Hall is about four blocks away. Easy access to buses heading in different directions.

Room 404 faces the front. Noise from nearby pubs woke me up daily. Closing time is 2:00 a.m.

The room has definitely seen better days. The carpet is very worn in high traffic area but I also wondered how recently it was given a good cleaning. Electric kettle is provided along with instant coffee, yea bags, sugar and milk. TV is small but works. Two soap/shampoo dispensers are provided along with towels.

Walls are very thin so it’s easy to hear guests from rooms surrounding room 404.

An utter disgrace, completely filthy everything, carpets all badly badly stained smears on room walls stink of cigarette smoke burnt net curtains, TV hanging of a wall which was last painted in the 70’s! Sadly my employer booked it blindly. I arrived on a Sunday and by 19:00 on the Thursday evening no one form housekeeping had set a single foot into the room, I then asked for bedding to change myself to be told reception don’t have a key to the bedding store!!! The whole place is a disaster. I was kept awake until 02:00 as a couple left two dogs in their “pet friendly” hotel room and went out on the lash
Eating the two dogs howling!! Hotel staff weren’t interested. Please spend and extra tenner and go elsewhere, if you’re that skint let. Me know and I’ll give you the extra tenner!!!

I paid over £100 per night to stay from 3-6th March. Since I’ve been here the room hasn’t been cleaned once (bin is now overflowing), no new towels etc and when I asked to borrow a fork so I could eat my dinner in my room (since you don’t provide any cutlery at all- not even a spoon to stir a cuppa) I was told ‘sorry, we only have cutlery for us and I can’t let you use it’. After some back and forth I was allowed to borrow a spoon for an hour to eat my food. One key between the two of us is just inconvenient. Paper cups, no hairdryers in the room, very dated, rundown and not worth the money. Very disappointed and I won’t be booking with travellodge again.

The hotel reception was the usual travelodge standard and though expensive at £150 a night i thought the location warrented the price, then i got in the lift.......

On opening the doors on the 5th floor i thought i mist be on some kind of norman bates experience. The hallway felt like a homeless hostel,ot smelled stale didnt smell and the carpeting looked like it had been put down by stevie wonder.

Rooms are very small with no air conditioning, which meant i had to put up with the noise from ongoing street party's,pubs and clubs.

On leaving I wish I,'d never stripped back the bed. The mattress looked like it had been used for a murder scene and then retrieved from a skip.

This is possibly the worst travelodge we've stayed in, but we had a warm bed and a clean bathroom. It was very dated inside and could do with a bit of a shake up to match those in Glasgow for example. It was expensive considering how basic it was (roughly £65-70 per night) and there was no housekeeping during our 3 night stay, no additional tea/coffee/paper cups given either so we could only have drinks in dirty paper cups... Until they disintegrated. No one should need to ask for a refill if staying 3 nights!

Location was brilliant, but as this was slightly cheaper than some of the B&Bs nearby it was full of drunks making a racket at all hours on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday nights.

With all that in mind, the service was polite and efficient, we got half price parking at the Great Northern Multi-Storey round the corner, provided we got our ticket stamped at reception and then paid at the car park office before leaving.

Would I recommend for anyone wishing to get a good night's sleep in a relaxing environment whilst visiting the city? Hell no. Would I recommend it for students or travellers just looking for a bed for the night and nothing more? Sure.

Stayed Tuesday to Thursday. Room clean and adequate, tea and coffee supplied. Due to Covid no house keeping during stay. Requested extra pillows delivered to room. Tea, Coffee, Milk and sugar available from reception on request along with fresh towels. Room quiet even with the window open as no air con.
Location ideal for food (lots of restaurants) and city centre shopping., close to rail and bus stations. Five minnute walk to book visit to Giants Causeway, Game of Thrones tour etc.
Would stay again.

This is a budget hotel and provides the basics. However, the carpets in the hallway and the bedrooms needs cleaning--they are soiled. The shower does not work properly and throws water over the complete floor. Parking is about 20 mins walk and is not safe to walk at night. The bed and pillows were extremely unconfortable. I have stayed in Travelodge before in other cities and was very disappointed at the poor level of service and facilities at this Belfast central hotel.
