A lovely one night stay in February 2020. Hotel very accessible - entrance, reception, bar/restaurant. Staff welcoming and helpful. My room had a double bed and a perfect wet room shower, some hotel wet rooms have a very medical environment but this one was pretty and functional.
Most of breakfast options were out of reach for me but staff were helpful in serving me what I wanted.
Excellent location to visit most of Belfast.

Normally stay at this hotel, as staff great, rooms facilities, breakfast good. Handy for the Europa to get the bus to and from the airport, with a good choice of bars and restaurants close by.
This time do not know if it is the Covoid confusion, although they tried. On arrival handed a sheet with instuctions, asked by a Paul when we wanted breakfast, presumed for three night stay, first morning fine, second morning, no booking, a bit Confusing.
Drinks ordered can only be taken to your room or externally, if you have food you can drink in foyer. It would be helpful if all staff new the rules, again They appeared confused, issue raised with manager.Rooms are only cleaned every five days due to Covoid, surely an order sheet could be left so you can order, unbelievably toilet roll, clean towels etc. It is not up to the punter to chase these issues. Rubbish left at door to be removed
I understand there are issues, but try better would be a good idea, also realise the majority are trying to cooperate

Hi Cartvale, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review about your recent stay with us here at Holiday Inn Belfast City Centre. I am pleased to see that you chose our hotel again based on how great our staff, room facilities and breakfast were on your previous stays with us. However, I am disappointed to hear that there appeared to be some confusion on this occasion. I do apologise about the error that was made with regards to your breakfast reservation; I think this may have been miscommunication on our part. Some guests do like to block book their breakfast times at check in, whilst many also like to book their breakfast slot on a daily basis so that they can make their plans as they go. I apologise that my colleague picked you up wrong. I am also sorry to hear that there seemed to be confusion in the bar and restaurant with regards to the safety procedures we had in place for our patrons. All of our Food & Beverage team have completed training on these procedures, along with our front desk team who should be explaining them upon check in as well as providing a welcome pack outlining them also. Since your stay, the guidelines have been updated and it is no longer necessary to have a meal with your drink meaning that our guests are now able to sit and enjoy a drink in our bar area! In regards to housekeeping, we did reduce this service in order to minimize contact between our guests and our staff. However, our guests were able to have their room serviced upon request so I do apologise if you were not aware of this. Again, since your stay, we have changed our housekeeping procedures and our team are back to servicing all rooms unless requested not to. I do apologise that you were left feeling confused during your stay with us. I will be sure to relay your feedback to all of my colleagues and we will make sure that we are explaining all of our procedures properly to our guests going forward! We hope that you will stay with us again on your next visit to Belfast so that we can prove to you that we are capable of much better service! Kind Regards, Nicolle Loughran Guest Relations Manager

We arrived and because of flights being cancelled & rearranged we arrived early, so had to concierge our baggage which in the current environment is understandable.
We used this time to enjoy time in the city centre as the location of this hotel is one of its biggest assets.
The staff were all great with the front of house staff focused on the guests servicing.
Currently Breakfasts are booked and not just a turn up service. Again this is understable due to the current restriction. Breakfasts were great with a good choice of foods and beverages.
It appears that they are using guest floors at maximum capacity in order to clean service the adjacent floors for the next week or days.
Our room on the fourth floor was okay, Like many other we found items e.g Champagne Cork and Kids sweets along with a liberal dust cover under and around the bed.It looks like they clean around the beds not under them.
The room was well generally presented and the on-suite was clean and fully functional.
Our stay was enjoyable except on one evening where the 4th floor became a mix of a 18/30 residence and the Appleby horse fair. From around midnight to 5am it was a constant Door slamming shouting, singing and not much sleep.
The hotel seemed unable or unwilling to control residents anti social behaviour. The compression of guests onto one floor would not help this position.
I have never had a similar experience in a Holiday Inn, so we may have been unlucky.
General impressions were good but there's a lot of choice in a similar pricing bracket nearby, so maybe if you value sleep you have other options.

As always staff very professional and friendly and welcomed me as a friend not a guest. The corona measures were excellent with prebooked times for breakfast etc. The staff were constantly cleaning surfaces and wearing face masks at all times, social distance was adhered to with seating and table spacing. Hand disinfectant was located at numerous locations throughout the hotel, from the entrance to the dining area to the entrance to the lifts.
All the staff were professional, as usual, it was great to see that corona measures were in place and that the hotel staff ensured they were adhered to. Any requests that Ä° did have were carried out promptly and efficiently. Ä° always use this hotel when Ä° visit this city and will continue to do so due to the professional and friendly staff, rooms, ambiance and the location of the hotel. The wheelchair accessible rooms are great for wheelchair users, the bathroom is in a "wetroom" style and there is a fold down shower seat that can be adjusted in height for easy transfers. There is a choice of shower head, a massive one at ceiling height and one on an adjustable riser. The shower is extremely powerful and there is always hot water, great to warm you up after a day in cold Belfast.
The staff as usual were excellent, very polite, helpful and friendly.
My only choice of hotel when Ä° visit Belfast due to the staff, location and quality of breakfast.

I chose chose this hotel to use as a base for showing ny wife the sights of this great city. I could not have made a better choice. This Holiday Inn is very close to the city centre and near to the University quarter and to many great restaurants, pubs and bistros. The decor inside is bright and tasteful and the publoic areas are welcoming and relaxing. The best highlight of all is the brealfast which is genuinely good value and uses very high quality ingredients. Thick cut tasty bacon, a great selection of fruit, pancakes with syrup and good striong coffee. The staff were also extremely friendly and we felt welcome from first arrival. I have stayed on many Holiday Inns throughout the UK and I can honestly say this is the best experience I have had. I cant recommend it enough.

Stayed here after being transferred from another IHG Group hotel due to the Northern Ireland CoVid tier 3 lockdown. Pleasantly surprised on check in how clean the reception area is and the welcome from the staff.
They explained what was and wasn’t available I.e a reduced menu and no alcoholic drinks. The room itself was very cleaned and well appointed daily housekeeping was happening too. Social distancing in the public areas especially the restaurant which was open and despite the limited menu there was a decent choice and the good was very tasty.
Cleaning took place when people left their table all in all you felt safe.
Breakfast had a good selection and was plentiful.
The only downside was having to use the multi story car park across the road as the site has about six parking spaces. Would stay again based on this visit and probably rebook when I go again next month.

Because of the Covid pandemic, I am very fussy about cleanliness so this hotel let me down completely. On the face of it the hotel interior looks lovely but there is hidden dirt that should not be there particularly during a pandemic. On arrival I had a shower but the shower outlet didn't work and I was standing in a lot of filth coming out of the overflow. The water ran around the bathroom and it took 4 large towels and 3 small ones to mop up the water. I complained and after some time a young man came up to the room and on my instructions cleaned out the shower outlet. What I saw was unbelievable. Three handfuls of filth and dirt had accumulated in the water outlet. He used rubber gloves to remove the filth and put it in a bag. He put bleach down the outlet. The following morning when taking a shower the outlet still wouldn't allow the water to drain away so a plumber was needed. Despite repeated requests to the reception no plumber ever appeared during the following two days. I was informed that the plumber was on holiday! In an 8 storey hotel, there was no plumber available! Incredible! All it needed was a handyman with a plunger to clear the outlet but the hotel manager didn't care about the dreadful hygiene levels I encountered. On the first night I found that the mattress cover hadn't been put on the bed properly and therefore ran down the bed and dug into my back preventing me from sleeping. Although I complained I was told that the housekeeper was on a few days off. Eventually another lady who claimed to be a part-time housekeeper came and saw for herself that the twin beds had not been zipped together and that the mattress cover was just thrown on the bed. Together we made the bed as it was too large for me to do on my own. The food was hits and misses; most of it out of a supermarket freezer and the frozen vegetables not properly cooked. The only reason I am giving this hotel three stars is because of the staff who were really nice people, friendly and helpful. The Holiday Inn should take note that there is a Covid pandemic in their midst and get rid of the hidden dirt on their premises. I don't understand how this hotel has been passed by the Health Inspector. He/she clearly never really looked at the premises properly. I would never stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone else. I couldn't use the shower for the last two days as the problem was never rectified. I saw very little sanitization going on and social distancing was clearly absent.

Dear Adrienne C, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review about your recent stay at Holiday Inn Belfast City Centre. Please let me begin by expressing how disappointed to hear that you did not have an enjoyable experience at our hotel. Clearly we have fallen short of your expectations and for this I sincerely apologise. First of all, I am so sorry to hear that the drain was blocked in your shower, and secondly, that we did not rectify this for you as we should have done. I have passed your feedback on to our management team so that we can ensure that we deal with matters like this much more efficiently in the future. I am also sorry to hear that your bed was not made up properly and that this resulted in such an uncomfortable nights sleep. I will be sure to raise this issue with our housekeeping manager as this is far from the standard that we should be providing. However, I am both surprised and disappointed to read your feedback about our sanitising and social distancing procedures as this is something that we take very seriously at our hotel. We have a dedicated public areas housekeeper who wipes down and sanitises all of the doors, lifts, reception areas and frequent touch points throughout the day. In addition to this, we also have a fogging machine which we use throughout the day in all public areas. We also have all of our tables in the bar and restaurant socially distanced and have signs at the lifts asking that no more than two guests from different households use them at any one time. Having said this, I am pleased to hear that you found our staff to be very nice, friendly and helpful. They all work very hard so I know that they will really appreciate your kind comments about them. Please be assured that we will take your feedback onboard and address the issues that you have raised. We are always looking for ways to improve the guest experience and will use this as a learning opportunity. Kind Regards, Nicolle Loughran Guest Relations Manager

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay, the room and hotel had everything we needed for 5 nights. The staff were friendly and would have a laugh with you when in the dining/bar area. We booked at the end of august and it looks like we got a really good deal which worked out at £40 per night. The hotel is out of the busy part of the city centre so it is not noisy outside, but close enough to walk everywhere. The only downside was the breakfast that we had on the first day which was not worth the money we paid and the bed and pillows were very uncomfy! Other than that we cannot fault our stay

Dear emmy8833, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review about your experience at Holiday Inn Belfast City Centre. I am just delighted to see that our hotel had everything you needed to enjoy your five night stay with us and that you were able to avail of one of our offers at £40 per night, what a bargain! It is also great to see that our location was just ideal for you; quiet but not too far from the action, and also that you had some lovely and friendly interactions with our staff. I will be sure to relay all of your feedback to my colleagues as I know just how much they will appreciate it! However, I am sorry to hear that you felt a bit disappointed with our breakfast offerings. Usually this is an area that we receive great feedback on as people love our hearty buffet breakfast. I am also disappointed to hear that you did not like our pillows and beds; please accept my apologies for this as we want all of our guests to feel comfortable and well rested when leaving our hotel. Having said this, I am pleased that this did not impact too heavily on your overall experience and that you still had a really enjoyable stay. I will be sure to make our housekeeping manager aware of your feedback so that we can investigate this further and take action where necessary. We really enjoyed having you stay with us and hope that we will see you again on your next visit to Belfast. Until then, take care and stay safe! I used this hotel for my three-night city break in Belfast and it is superbly located just a 5-10 minute walk to the city centre. The express bus from the airport also stops a 2 minute walk away. The price for an Executive room was cheaper than most hotels were charging for their standard ones! Super clean hotel, comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Restaurant served tasty food at a decent price. Staff were lovely and coped admirably with their demanding extra duties due to the COVID situation. I was also able to leave my case in a secure room after check-out until my flight home. I will definitely stay again when I return to Belfast.

Airport Express 300 service operates 7 days a week. At peak times on Monday to Friday, services run every 15 minutes.
Yes no problem. We had a similar issue but the hotel took care of our bags until we could check in.
Also left them there on our check out
I don't remember looking for a fridge as I was too buy trying to sort out the dirty faulty shower. Based on my experience I would never stay there again
We stayed at the hotel last weekend and breakfast was being served as normal in the restaurant. Hot breakfast was however being served rather than you helping yourself. Things like croissants were all enclosed in bags. You did need to pre-book a table. They also offered a room service option for breakfast at no extra cost.
