I am dismayed and even appalled at some of the comments, both literate and illiterate, directed towards Kate and Clem at Kate's B&B. We stayed their twice on two different trips to Belfast (we're from Canada) and we had a chance to look at the rooms before agreeing to stay. The rooms were clean, tidy and exactly what one would...

Worst hostel ever ! (we can't say it's a B&B) We booked for 3 in a dormitory of 4, we were 5, non counting bugs, moister, and dirt. We didn't stay the 2 nights we booked for, it almost ruined our trip in Belfast.. Must be avoided !! Leaving the hostel we encountered a guy who had to sleep in...

For me It's the worst bnb ! It's Dirty and the owners are thieves: we booked for 2 nights but we couldn't stay cause of lack of cleanliness and they refuse to refund the second night ! Avoid as much as possible !

Charged twice by owner, so now have to claim back through credit card company. Floor boards made an unreal amount of noise, whether in the room, in the landing or on the stairs. Would not recommend. Worth spending a little extra.

The owner of the BnB was initially MIA when we arrived, which turned out to be because of him sleeping on the premises. When he did show up, he was unable to accomodate us even though we had booked several months in advance, and it was all paid in advance. We therefore had to find another place to stay in...

I booked this B n B earlier this year and had to cancel a few days before my visit. We paid up front for a couple of friends in advance. There was an agreement that if the room was relet we would get a refund. When I went back this was reneged. Jo agreed this refund but after ringing back...

The new owner, Joao, I never came across to someone that rude. He let our guide slept on the floor of the dining room, no mattress, no blanket and completely ignored the issue when we had booked a room for him 4 months before.

“Go somewhere else. I ended up at the Vagabonds Hostel on University Road. They were very friendly, relaxed, and hospitable - a very welcome contrast to the rudeness and aggressive behaviour at Kate's B&B.”
