Dipped for something to eat on Easter Monday. Was almost empty at 6.00 which tells you something. Portion sizes woeful and the food a rip off. Sent banana milk shake back as banana had escaped. They mustn't have been able to catch it because it was exactly the same. My daughters had spag bol. The pasta was watery and the...

This is only a review of the restaurant that you can walk in to, I have no idea what the rest of the hotel is like. However, a friend and I stopped in for a meal. We had a Chicken Maryland each. Absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and very reasonably priced. Had a meal here before a few years ago and...

My boyfriend and I stopped for lunch last week. We both really enjoyed our lunch and the value was great for the portion sizes. The waitress was very attentive and the restaurant itself was very clean and homely.

The food was disgusting that I got but the salad my wife got was absolutely beautiful the staff was extremely rude expecially the blonde but there was two young girls that could not be nicer and a young boy. the chef came out in dirty kitchen clothes to talk to customers which was quite off putting

Called in for something to eat on Boxing day evening. I was greatly surprised as I was expecting the bar/restaurant to be dated but it has been refurbished and the food was very good. The food is very reasonably priced and portions are very good. Some staff could possibly be more customer friendly and by that I don't mean they...

My friend told me how reasonable senior citizens 3 course meal was priced. I had roast pork and stuffing with turnip,peas.2 mashed , and 1 roast potato. Sherry trifle and a coffee to finish. Really good basic home cooking at only , 6.30 for all three courses. Unbeatable really. Visit if you are a senior

The hotel is ideally placed for walking to Slieve Donard & Slieve Commadagh with great mountain and sea front views. The female staff were very unfriendly and unwelcoming but the male members of staff were polite and friendly. The food was generally good with sufficient portions. However, the cooked breakfast lacked expected options like beans and/or tomatoes. We found a...

We have just had a lovely weekend break in the Avoca hotel which is right on the seafront in Newcastle "where the mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea". You could not get a better location and the recently updated Avoca has all the facilities for an enjoyable holiday. We stayed in room 30 on the top floor with...
