We visited here prior to doing the breakout games on south college street! We werent disappointed-greeted by friendly welcoming staff, we had a drink in the beautifully furnished bar area whist we waited for others to arrive. Complimentary fish on fridays was served, a lovely homely touch. We were seated in a well presented conservatory area. Noone could fault the...

We love coming to the Ferryhill, the food is brilliant and the atmosphere (particularly at weekends) is always really good. The menu has changed a few times over the years since we have been coming here, but we always have plenty that are our "firm favourites" as is the norm with most hotel bars, it can be quite pricey to...

The Ferryhill hotel is situated close to Union Street in a very quite street. It is a beautiful house with spacious rooms. The rooms are delicate and bright with all facilities. The staff is very friendly. They go out of their way to give you a good experience. And they serve a very good breakfast. In addition they have an...

Excellent breakfast. Efficient room layout with modern decor. The downstairs restaurant is quite good - plenty of diners means the property is busier at lunch and dinner hours, and some noise carries up to the rooms - recommend having earplugs on the weekend if you are a light sleeper. Breakfast is mostly hotel guests and more leisurely. Friendly and efficient...

This is probably one of the best all round pub /restaurants in Aberdeenshire... on a good day. However , the major drawback is the accumulation of smokers at the entrance steps...something that will guarantee to kill your appetite; a very unpleasant experience that could easily be addressed by astute management. When the pub is busy, standards in the bar do...

I love dining at the Ferryhill, we have never had a bad meal yet, but we were disappointed on this recent visit because there weren't any pasta dishes with tomato based sauces available. The only pasta dish on the menu was macaroni cheese. My 5 year old grandson was quite disappointed that he couldn't have his pasta and tomato sauce....

Last minute decision to go out for a mid week treat. From the minute you go in till you leave you are treated like a special friend and nothing is too much effort. My partner chose the fish and chips and I had the coconut chicken curry. The very fresh haddock came in a crisp perfectly cooked light batter I...

The Ferryhill is located in a nice quiet residential area of Aberdeen, approx 15-20 minute walk to Union Street. The building is a nice old building with plenty of character. The parking at the hotel is limited, so we had to park on the street, which is metered, except for Sundays (free). The hotel is very nice, pleasant, well decorated,...
