Room was ok, pillows were terrible. Breakfast was awful, poached eggs that you could bounce off the walls on the first day, cold food the second. Breakfast included or would not have paid as it is overpriced for what you get.

I went to The Chester with a friend for a very late lunch where my friend specifically asked which sandwiches they served without tomato as she is not allowed to eat them. We therefore shared an egg sandwich with tomato on the side which I ate which was fine. My friends husband then joined us later for dinner. We all...

Lovely hotel. It's absolutely immaculate and the staff are very helpful. Great location too, not too far and not too close to the city centre. Breakfast was amazing, very generous and well presented. Only downside is that the cleaners start early. We were woken with hoovering and rooms being cleaned at 8am - not what you want when you're wanting...

We stayed in a Club Room on the top floor of the hotel with great views south over the rooftops of Aberdeen. It was large with a great bed, comfy sofa for relaxing and accessed via its own staircase which made it very quiet. We had a light lunch in the busy bar before exploring Aberdeen. Dinner in the hotel...

Took 2 friends for dinner, after reading previous reviews we were really looking forward to a good evening. As stated before staff were really good, attentive and explained what the different courses for that evening were. Gave our orders and that was fine . All four starters came but my scallop was raw. Called the waiter who straight away said...

I had visited this hotel on a previous visit to Aberdeen and enjoyed a glorious afternoon tea, I had been very impressed by everything I had seen there and so decided to stay there overnight on this return visit. the Chester didn't dissappoint! It is a gorgeous hotel, not a standard chain hotel, but set in two beautiful old converted...

Stayed for two nights 6/8 April. Absolutely brilliant from the moment we arrived. Staff all very friendly and professional, room spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was cooked to order and really good. We ate in the bar on both evenings rather than the restaurant but the food was absolutely delicious. Not a single fault to report.

Stayed for one night with our two kids (age 8 & 5) - they gave us a large room and put 2 z-beds in for the kids which worked fine. 5 year old very fussy on food but bar staff incredibly helpful and the restaurant staff made him scrambled egg on toast in the evening (not on the menu) and...

Booked a club room at the Chester as birthday treat for my partner, we normally stay in the "other" hotel next door but decided to give it a try but the whole experience was disappointing and disorganised from the moment we arrived. The room had a nice private staircase leading up to it but was spoiled by badly chipped paint...

Did not start well as we found it difficult to find the main entrance ! There is a sign but 4 of us missed it on arrival and we entered via the restaurant and bar and then had to go back outside with a member of staff who pointed us in the right direction. Check in all good, rooms good...
