The outside looks dreadful and quite uninviting. The inside is considerably better. Used two suites on this stay and both were OK but not stunning. The staff are really friendly and go a long way to making the customer happy. hence better in than out!

I must admit, when the bus (#23) dropped me off in front of the hotel I was a bit turned off. The immediate area is not the prettiest (a housing estate/apartment complex with several small shops and car dealerships). Also, the outside of the hotel...More
The hotel rooms are spacious and of good standard. The bed was comfortable and a nice bathroom. Staff were very helpful and were very happy to help and provide information. Hotel restaurant was good and prices good. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of variety and made...More
We stayed here for a one night break and found ourselves in the most friendly and welcoming hotel. Having arrived early the receptionist suggested we bring in our bags and she would look after them. We were directed to the bus stop across the street...More

There is a bus stop just a few minutes outside the hotel to your right (you have to cross North Anderson drive, the main dual carriageway) and from the stop there, you can get the X40. This will stop just slightly past the AECC, so just get off and either walk back on yourself or get off just before. The all day bus ticket would be the best way to travel - it's £4 and can be used as many times as you want in the day. First Bus doesn't give change though so you do need exact money for the bus which can be given by the hotel. The buses are fairly regularly but the reception staff can check bus times for you on check in to let you know more precise times. Kind regards, Reception - Best Western Summerhill Hotel and Suites.
