The Palace is always good food at a decent price. The menu never changes so you know exactly what your going to get. Staff are friendly and bar is good at the weekends. I have stayed here before and the rooms are clean and tidy but not very big.

I stayed here for one night on business, the hotel was very clean and the room was warm when I arrived. We sat in the bar area and watched the football before going upstairs for our evening meal, which was delicious! I had the 'Make your own' burger and it was brilliant. Waiters bringing out fold-away tables when serving was...

Enjoy a lovely afternoon tea and the price is really good too! Little expresso cup of soup and frittatta to begin then scones and cream and fruit and jam and then lovely litte cakes on a pretty china cake stand... lovely pot of decent tea.... what more could you ask for!

If you want great food then this is the place to eat. Affordable prices and a very good menu. The food comes well presented and hot. The staff are very nice and efficient. The surroundings are lovely. At weekends if eating upstairs in the diner it can be noisy as there may be live music on.

Ate at the Palace at the weekend with family. Affordable prices, accommodating staff, great food. The vegetarian curry was fresh, full of flavour and healthy. Would absolutely return for that dish alone. Liqueur Coffee was also delicious.

Had a brilliant weekend at The Palace. Right from the start the staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem. Food was excellent, more than enough to satisfy. Management were onsite to check everything was ok. Evening entertainment was fantastic. Will certainly consider a return visit. Thank you! 👍😊

Took my wife here for dinner and to show her where I used to drink when I stayed in the Blue Toon in the late 90s. Food was excellent with huge portions that even I couldn't finish. Staff were friendly, polite, efficient and hard working. Would thoroughly recommend.
