Difficult to review this hotel. The people running it are wonderfully kind and friendly- which makes my honest review of 2 stars seem harsh. Unfortunately the owners being lovely does not improve the quality of the hotel or the town in which the hotel is situated. People don't go to Peterhead because they want to. This is sad but true...

My wife and I dropped in here for a spot of lunch. We were not disappointed my wife had a fish dish and I had an all day breakfast. The service from the staff was ist class. The black pudding that came with the all day breakfast was fantastic, my only complaint was that I wished I had more on...

Lovely welcoming small hotel, great staff and food. Coal fires lit in dining rooms in winter. Very good priced. Home made fudge is delicious. Also intoxicated tea parties are fun, the Albert is always a lovely place to go for coffee, lunch or dinner.

Have regular meals here and been to a few larger functions, including grandson s 18th. Food always delicious and service pleasant and personal. Lovely snack meal in bar. Smell of soup emanates on to street and lures people in! Local, fresh fish, meat and vegetables. Menu changes regularly. Never sense of urgency to leave table, so very relaxing dining experience.

Had lunch here on 8 April 2015 and was very happy with the choice on the menu and the standard of the food. I can recommend the Caesar salad with chicken and bacon ... very tasty. Nice touch with the traditional fabric napkins instead of paper ones. Service was excellent and when I asked for a latte it was served...

Went with a group of friends for intoxicating afternoon tea, cocktails were good but the food was awful. The room where afternoon tea is served looked like you had just walked into a wedding from a different decade the whole hotel felt like it needed updating and the background music too (spice girls greatest hits!) Waitress was helpful when we...

Went in for lunch today and was quite astonished at the way the waitress spoke to me. Basically said that I lied about what I ordered, had an attitude when I corrected her regarding what I ordered, a little bit of courtesy would not go amiss. Food was good.

Food was cold and portions were tiny, waitress was friendly but stank of smoke, we had fish pancakes and it was a sweet pancake not savoury, we were the only table in and it was a friday lunch time, if the food had been good the place would of been packed out the door..
