We have stayed in lots of nice hotels around the world but when we are in Arbroath we always come back to the Rosely. The Rosely is a quirky, interesting and friendly hotel which is set in pretty grounds, and is full of unusual features. The decor might be old fashioned but the welcome is lovely, and the hotel is...

What a great wee hotel........its an old house (big old house) has stuffed animals in the hall......tiger skins, bears heads etc etc even has a minstrels balcony! Wi Fi is hit and miss and no 2 rooms are the same..........but I love it. Its clean, people are quirky and super friendly. The bar has a real log fire and is...

First and foremost, the staff / family that run this hotel are wonderful, so it pains me to say that the hotel itself isn't the greatest, in my opinion. Everything was clean and tidy, which is most important. However, it was the creature comforts that made the stay a little less pleasant than I would have liked. The rooms were...

The rooms needed a bit of TLC but the beds were comfortable. The shower didn't work as well as it should have and we had a carpeted bathroom which was a strange feeling. Some of the other rooms the wallpaper was peeling off and there were a few spiders spotted. The room we stayed in had plenty of space and...

What an amazing find. Nice rooms, comfy beds, nice food, a big nice old building, nice friendly proprietor, lots to look at within the hotel. We would go back here in a minute, absolutely not your typical (modern) hotel. Big rooms, lots of furnishings, nice country feel, lots of character, old detail. Welcomed at the door, felt like our own...

We stayed here after attending a wedding at Hospitalfield. On approaching the building we commented on how beautiful it looked, you approach up a long drive way and can park outside the building. We were met by the owner who welcomed us warmly. The building is in the style of a hunting lodge and some of the architecture is amazing....

Lovely old building, friendly staff and comfortable beds. The hotel felt more like a B&B but that is reflected in the prices so if you want a large clean and comfortable room with period furniture in a lovely building with friendly and helpful staff this is a place to stay.

We booked the Rosely at the last minute for a one night stay and we were so pleased we chose to stay here. It was so peaceful, welcoming and different. The house is beautiful and the owners have worked hard to maintain its original charm. Our room was warm and comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome in...

Stayed here on a work visit with a group of six of us and the welcome could not have been warmer even though we arrived late. The building is Scottish - solid and imposing and while its a bit tired around the edges there's a lot of character here- and a lot of patterns and mismatched bits but hey that's...
