We stopped here for a meal before visiting the beautiful Glamis Castle. The food was excellent. I took the venison casserole, superb. There were many Scottish dishes. Prices are reasonable, interior is cosy, service is very good. Attention, we have not testet the bedrooms, only the restaurant.

Excellent food, we live relatively close and this was our first time here. So much to choose from, reasonably priced, excellent service. I was full after my first course but still managed a main and a pudding.

The menu stated that all their meat came from within 15 miles of the place. There were many traditional Scottish dishes - lamb, beef, venison casserole, fish, chicken stuffed with haggis etc plus yummy sweets. I had a started of deep fried haggis bites with horseradish sauce and salad leaves. I could only eat two of them as they were...

I've been here loads of times in years gone by and thought it was good, but today was really strange. It's been five years or so since my last visit, but it now looks grubby, with a punch hole in a door one of the highlights. Broken lamps, with sharp broken glass still on display, seems like basic laziness. Worst,...

3 Ladles, casually but decently dressed tried to have lunch here. The waitress who obviously couldn't have cared less, passed us the "lunchtime menu" which was sandwiches only. I said that as it was a lovely day we wanted to sit out in the garden for lunch. Waitress told us, " if you want a meal, you will have to...

Every time we visit the Strathmore arms we find the food quality is excellent and with a nice cosy atmosphere in the bar and good value for money together with friendly staff we can't fault this venue.

My wife Diane and I took our friend Dawn who is visiting us from England to the Glamis castle and then we took her to have Lunch at 12noon at the Strathmore arms hotel in Glamis and we told her how excellent the service was when Gemma is on duty and her staff . We of course arrived early at...

We stayed for just one night. We were greeted very warmly and shown to our room, No 2. Huge bed - plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Great shower. Comfortable room. We ate in the restaurant and both had the sirloin steak which was incredible. More than we would normally have paid for a meal but worth every penny as...

Despite being very busy, the staff were doing an excellent job and the food was of their usual high standard. It will be a long time before I taste a better blueberry pavlova. Friend had sticky toffee pudding which was also excellent. Main courses also excellent

Since I gave this a poor service review we have eaten here a few times. The food has been good and plentiful. The service much improved so perhaps my review was a one off. Other family members regularly enjoy eating here so I cannot say more than that.

Thank Ian F
