Many thanks Mary for a wonderful week in Fishermans Cottage. The cottage is in a lovely spot right on the shore, and is quirky and comfortable. We slept very well (which is rare for us!), and were warm and cozy... although we did get some amazing weather considering it is November! Being a non dog lover, I am always a...

Wonderful week in Fisherman's cottage. Total peace and quiet in a property right on the beach with amazing views and wildlife. The cottage was warm and comfortable and had everything we could have wanted. The owner was extremely helpful when we lost our car keys and arranged for local garage to help out and get us going again. We also...

The best week's holiday I have had. Having been enticed by the web-site descriptions I was looking forward to my holiday; my expectations were surpassed. The location is idyllic and the cottage design takes full advantage of its surroundings. Views are spectacular with many windows, above all the conservatory, where one could quite easily spend the whole stay. Overlooking the...

We have enjoyed many holidays at Fisherman's Cottage but this was the best ever. The kitchen has recently been refitted and the whole set up is even more agreeable. It's comfortable, quaint and quirky. It's a genuine old fisherman's cottage, sensitively modernised whilst not losing its original character and charm. The log burning stove makes it cosy all year round,...

Having read, and been just dying to go, for years, to Machrihanish - at last we decided that "Now, we will MAKE the time to go, despite beginning our short break away on the opposite coast at Crail and St Andrews. Fortunately, for motorways and great roads, it is not too much of a trek - (in summer - til...

Stayed here for a week at the end of August. What's not to like about the place!?!!!! The peace and tranquillity and amazing views were amazing. We would stay forever if we could. Seals in the water, buzzards flying overhead, owls and bats at night. Our children loved it, walking down to the water to hunt for shells before breakfast...

Just spent a relaxing week at the cottage. Great views and stunning wildlife. Daily otter sightings alongside, deer, birds of prey and the land and sea birds. A brilliant opportunity for us to practice our wildlife photography. It's in a great location for getting out to the rest of the peninsula too so if you want to venture further than...

This is an amazing place to get away from everything apart from huge sea views and brilliant wildlife. You could go for a whole week without seeing more than a handful of people. The cottage is great for two people - a lovely large and airy bedroom with a fabulously comfy bed, a conservatory with huge sea views and a...

“My only tip is to remind future guests that this cottage is most definitely on a working farm....Archie's farmhouse is next to the sheep-dog kennels (they bark in the night!!) so if you're a very light sleeper maybe choose an alternative cottage?!”
