Powdermills B&B is just excellent from the surroundings with its huge 10-acre garden and walks, to the quality of the rooms, the Host John and Sue are great very friendly, fantastic breakfast, and Mabel and Boo are always pleased to see you. Can't wait to return.

A lovely location, beautiful ground floor rooms with patio doors leading out into the extensive grounds with walks of various length, great for the dog. John and Sue were very welcoming, in times of Covid we felt very safe with the measures in place. Breakfasts were excellent added to which a plentiful supply of cake and biscuits were an unexpected bonus. Inveraray is a lovely little town and the castle is certainly worth a visit. We very much hope to return one day.

The hosts have created a perfect haven for us doggy folk and for our dogs. The 10 acres surrounding the house are unless your dog is a high jumper secure and safe for your fur babies to frolick about and its also one of the few places that will accept our 3 labby dogs. They have created walkways around the garden that is also very eco friendly and will attract all sorts of nature. This unfortunatly means Mr + Mrs Midge which love the west coast and love gardens like this so take a spray of something to put them off and youll be fine otherwise "your on their menu". It is situated just across the road from the small village of Furnace and so its location is ideal for any number of trips you want to make in that area. We went to westport beach for the furries defo recommend it as its lovely on a nice day and has a car park. Then onto Campbelltown which was disappointing as not much to do there/other things closed just now and down to trek to the mull of Kintyre lighthouse getting there is a single track road to a car park then a 1 mile trek downhill to the lighthouse but coming back its all up very steep hills so be prepared to puff a bit. But there are lots of other places you can go to from this ideal base Gigha/Arran etc. The rooms were super comfy with ample storage and a huge king size bed (Ross room) and a nice power shower. If you wanted tea/coffee etc you just had to ask but we didn't need to as it was offered to us whenever we returned and they provided lovely home baked cakes etc also. So book with confidence its a great place to explore the area and retire in comfort during the nights. One small downside I have a decent enoiugh phone/tablet both Samsung but my phone couldnt find the wifi when it searched for it and my tablet only got 1 bar signal so its not the best.
