My wife & I had a 2 night stay here at the start of a trip further North. The food is consistently good as is the service. My only slight niggle was that we had to ‘negotiate ‘ with the restaurant staff for a better situated table than the ones allocated for dinner. That aside, a relaxing stay in a conveniently placed hotel just off the edge of town. We will return once more when we plan our next foray into Scotland later in the year

Having eaten at Loch Fyne Hotel and Spa in 2020 I was hoping for some improvement in the meals. Unfortunately that improvement is not forthcoming. My wife and I have agreed to try elsewhere for 'fine dining'.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel on our way to Islay and Jura for a night and also on the way back home to Inverness for the night, including dinner, bed and breakfast and also had a hot stone massage at the spa. We had a great time, the food was absolutely delicious, extremely comfortable beds and well furnished room. The staff in the restaurant and bar were lovely and very attentive, all in all a great visit and we would definitely return. A huge thank you to Rhiann, not sure if I have spelled her name right, for the wonderful hot stone massage, I left the spa feeling very very relaxed and pampered, highly recommend!! Thank you all for a lovely stay!

I stayed here twenty years ago and fell in love with the place. After this recent four nights stay sadly that love affair has ended. Easy to find and has beautiful views over the loch. Plenty of free parking. Check in was simple. The staff here are lovely. Always so polite and helpful. Although at breakfast times they did seem a bit preoccupied with serving a group of actors staying at the hotel. The spa and pool are very good. Restaurant food is pricey but it’s only a short walk into Inveraray where there are cheaper places to dine. Covid safety measures were very good. So why only three stars? Three stars because of the room. It was very small and it seemed to be a room that the hotel staff seemed to forget existed. Not once in our four night stay were the towels or bedding changed. The room bins were only emptied when we resorted to putting them outside the door. The complimentary tea and coffee was never replenished. Will we stay here again? No, there are cheaper places with much superior room sizes for what we paid here and will give much better room servicing.

Just back from a 2 night stay at Loch Fyne. Left feeling somewhat disappointed and definitely wont be back anytime soon. Our room was very small and very warm which didn’t make for a comfortable nights sleep. Tiny window with no view right above kitchens. The hair dryer was poor quality, cheap coffee sachets, tv didn’t work. There was no info about room service on the 1 sheet of paper with info and nothing on the app. Decor was fine apart from the wicker style chair which was past its best and all discoloured. Overall not worth £309 a night bed and breakfast. I’d knock at least £100 a night off. We looked forward to dinner in the restaurant on first night and were expecting it to be a bit pricier than what we would normally pay. £13.50 for the scallop starter of which there were only 2 on the plate is day light robbery. The portions were small and no offer of sides. Partner was peckish at bed time. We were really upset to note that on our second night( Monday), the same starter was £9.50 on the menu. Surely there isn’t a £4 surcharge on dishes on the weekend? Went for a swim one morning and was delighted to have the pool to myself for an hour. I had a relaxing time but the pool area is very shabby. The steam room is falling to bits with really poor tile repairs. Had it not been the first time in about a year and a half since last swim I would have left earlier but decided to grin and bear it. Pool area does not warrant 4 stars at all. Seeing as they are charging £309 p\n and £13.50 for 2 scallops I’d hope a refurb is on the cards very soon. On a positive note, we found all the staff to be lovely, the drinks weren’t hideously expensive and there was a good choice at breakfast.
