We ate here enroute to Oban. Due to COVID orders are taken via iPhone,( pay upfront) which is a fiddle, and I think unnecessary. We ordered 2 pizzas and chips, the pizzas were thin, salty and burnt in places, the chips were also covered in salt. It has been a long time since I have had a meal of this poor standard. The waitress did the minimum with a lack of interest. Returned to the car for a swig of water to negate the salt

Having eaten here in the past with really great food served, we decided to have lunch here today on a visit. Have seen better menus. My wife had the goats cheese salad which she said was very tasty. I opted for Spag Bol. BIG mistake. I got a plate of spaghetti with plain mince on it. No mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic, herbs or ragu sauce. It was just PLAIN MINCE looking for some mash and tasted of it too! Only concession to Italy was a dish of grated parmesan with it. Even the Pinot Grigio wine tasted of a Chardonnay. I left most of the meal. I cook Italian meals quite often and always do much better than this. A joke to call it Spagatti Bolognaise!!! Beware of what you order here. Not cheap either. Here for 3 days. Guess where we will NOT be eating again!

Lunch yesterday with my wife, sister and brother-in-law. We went there because they allow dogs. The menu was extensive. Two had the beef cheeks, one Goulash and one fish & chips. The food was served hot and was delicious. Our waitress was from Czech Republic and was a delight. It was hard to hear her through her mask but she was very patient and double checked that she had the order 100%. She quickly connected with our sense of humour and was very funny in return. She was very professional and added to our enjoyment of the meal. Four good meals with drinks in an historic pub was good value for £120 inculing a good tip.

We have dined in here several times over many years and keep coming back. Stunning property with great food. This was the first time we have stayed and our room was outstanding. Hungry at Breakfast? Try the Kippers - OK the advantage is being on Loch Fyne but still, a joy to behold and huge! Garden bar is very well set out too. Great atmosphere throughout.
