Three friends and I shared the two top-floor twin rooms for one night during a trip to Inveraray. We were happy with the rooms and beds, which were cozy and well-equipped. (Prospective guests should be aware that the ceilings are low and rooms and baths not spacious, and it can be a challenge getting heavy/bulky luggage up two flights of...

Thank you for your review. We appreciate the time taken to leave one. I apologise that there was not an offer to take your luggage up to your rooms if it was a challenge. We usually are very used to getting our weight lifting exercise with guests bags if needed. Apologies too for the lack of hot water, this would...

My first trip back to Scotland since 1976!! We stayed at Claonairigh House for two wonderful cosy nights, the first in the room with a four poster bed, comfy seat by the old stone fireplace and decorated with flowers and memorabilia from the history of the house, then the second night in the 'Winnie the Poo' room in the eaves...

Fiona is I think modest about her house - but also very proud of it. It's delightful to stay somewhere with a real sense of history (and modern comforts). I've already recommended it to friends - and I don't do that lightly,

We stayed at Claonairigh for 4 nights at the end of May. The property is straight out of a picture book, a gorgeous, quirky old house tucked well away from the road. We arrived late afternoon and were treated to a welcome pot of tea and home baking in the dining/sitting room. The double room we stayed in was spacious,...

Bursting with character and many lovely little touches. From flowers on the stairs to a warm room and gorgeous breakfast. I stayed one night and choose it because it seemed so comfortable and homely. Not the faceless white bedding and bare room of so many BnBs. Modern and compact room at the top of the house which was warm and...

We recently returned to Scotland and to Claonairigh house. it was everything we remembered; from the pleasant country scene, the wonderful hospitality given by all members of the family( including their spunky border collies), and the delicious breakfasts! We were treated as honored guests. We hope to someday return to this lovely corner of the world! Thank you again !!!!

We would return any time to this very friendly, quaint corner of Scotland...a wee part of heaven in a country filled with beauty and warmth. My husband played endlessly with the dogs and the roosters added a special touch!!! The breakfasts were delicious...the kindness of this family made the stay like visiting old friends...

First impressions and all that, well ours was the greeting by two dogs, Nancy and Polly who bounded up to the car, making it abundantly clear they wished us to stay for a fortnight, not two nights. Next was a very warm welcome from Fiona, owner - although ably assisted at all times by her husband - head cook &...
