2021 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
Rudha-Na-Craige are proud to have been awarded TripAdvisor Traveller Awards 2020, 2021 and Best of The Best 2021 and rated 4* by the Scottish Tourist Board. Come visit and see why. Rudha-Na-Craige is a beautiful Victorian house in the town of Inveraray on the west coast of Scotland overlooking the picturesque Loch Fyne with its rolling hills backdrop and Built in 1863 by the Duke of Argyll for his Procurator Fiscal. The current Duke's ancestors also lived in this historic house. It was requisitioned by the Admiralty during the war years when the Loch shores were used for naval training. In 2006, it was completely restored to its former glory and modernised to provide what can only be described as 'Luxury Accommodation'. We are proud of our hot and powerful showers and comfy beds! The house is situated next to the town's nine hole golf course which is open to all visitors. The Town of Inveraray offers many attractions such as the Jail and Castle for those on vacation and is an excellent base for touring in Argyll & Bute and beyond. Our six bedrooms are individually designed with fabrics, furnishings, period artwork and ornaments specially chosen to reflect the character of the rooms. All have en-suite bathrooms and splendid views across the loch and garden. Only the single room does not have a loch view but compensates with a panoramic garden view. A combination of fresh fruit, cereals followed by porridge, kippers or a freshly made Full Scottish breakfast will get your day off to a hearty start! Complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the house.

We had a great stay at Rudha-Na-Craige. The room was comfortable with a good shower and pretty view over the garden. Rob and Jana were wonderful hosts, welcoming on arrival and full of suggestions for things to do nearby. We were recommended an evening meal at The George Hotel, a short 10 minute walk away and so good that we went twice! A lovely stay - we hope to visit again soon!

Stayed only 1 night but had we known how good this would definitely have stayed longer. A lovely welcome from Rob, we arrived early we’re welcomed by Rob and he gave us some good tips on where to go & eat. Jana checked us in later again a lovely welcome, the room was lovely and comfortable,, plenty of space, spotlessly clean, plenty of tea/coffee and even other choices if you want something different. Breakfast was fabulous. Nothing is to much trouble for the hosts & Rob gave us some great tips for our on going journey.

We have just returned from a one night stay in the Aray suite on the top floor of this B&B. The house is beautiful with amazing views and very comfortable rooms. Our room had a lovely little window seat looking onto the Loch, a great bath and shower and comfy beds. The owners Robert and Jana were lovely, helpful and knowledgeable providing a great service and tips on places to visit in the area. Breakfast was fab, plenty of choice with care for the Covid regs. I can recommend the smoked haddock with poached egg. Looking forward to our visiting again if we can manage to get a room.

From the moment we arrived after a very long car journey, Robert and Jana did everything to make our trip memorable. The covid 19 precautions are excellent, Robert gave a perfect tour of the house, grounds and gave excellent recommendations on local walks/drives and where to eat. Due to our wedding being cancelled and subsequent honeymoon, we saw this as our 'minimoon' as it should have when we were going abroad, due to this, we were upgraded to a suite which was impeccable! The bed was so comfortable, the view was exceptional, all facilities were outstanding and breakfast was delicious. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back. Thank you for a magical stay!

Excellent host in Robert, gave a good description of walks and local attractions, House built in mid 1800 and its kept its features, clean spacious rooms overlooking the Loch, an Excellent breakfast with plenty of options myself went for the local smoked Kipper (very tasty) three flight of stairs to top of the house, it also hosts a great communal room (restrictions permitting) CV19 precautions fully adhered too. 5 minute walk to centre and car parking in front of house A great hotel great hosts great stay.
