Very welcoming friendly place. Kimberley is a major asset. Her local knowledge given freely is a bonus. The suggestions re where to eat, places to visit were all spot on. Sheena has a great asset in Kim.

We stayed here overnight to catch the ferry to Craignure in the morning. As soon as we arrived, it was into cosiest pub I've seen since my last trip to hobbiton :-) and a cheerful hello from the staff and the locals. The room was clean and well kept with a really comfortable bed. We popped out to a nearby...

I stayed at the Kelvin hotel during a recent visit to to Oban for work. The hotel is ideally placed very close to the town Centre with access to all travel routes and visitor attractions. The hotel is adjoined to bar and all the staff are very welcomingand friendly.

Travelled to Oban by train, arriving late. Hotel a short walk from the station. Room was clean and comfortable. Very early start next day as getting the 06.15 ferry to Coll. Ferry terminal another very short walk, so optimal sleep time!! An ideal place to stay.

I mean it is a budget hotel. Full stop. Having said that, it is clean, the people friendly and the room adequate with fully functioning bathroom. I have paid more at other places and got less. It is handy for all the town amenities and has a great view of the harbour.

Great value hotel, close to the ferry terminal and railway station. We received a warm welcome at the hotel in September, staff were friendly and helpful, even letting us store our bicycles inside. Rooms are basic, but have tea and coffee facilities, towels etc. We enjoyed a nightcap in the cosy pub with the owner - great fun! Breakfast was...

I needed a good night's sleep - and possibly more importantly - a genuinely warm and friendly welcome and environment - on my stopover in Oban as part of my 5,300 mile solo bicycle ride round the coast of the UK raising funds for The Alzheimer's Society. Having stayed at the Kelvin last year after competing in the Oban Craggy...

The rooms here are practical rather than lavish. However the staff were really good and helpful. There is an option of a continental breakfast but the restaurant is not currently open. However the town centre is full of eateries which are only a couple of minutes walk away. It is also a very good base camp for those wishing to...

Friendly and comfortable hotel situated close to the harbour, ferry terminal and train station. Not much to look at from the outside but the rooms are comfy and big enough. My en suite bathroom had a bath, which was a big surprise but the bathroom itself was a tad on the small and poky side. On arrival they give you...
