I brought a group tour to Oban Bay for a bespoke Burns Night celebration for four nights. A BIG THANK YOU to you to Marc, the General Manager and his wonderful team at the Oban Bay for such an excellent stay. Oban Bay was as good as it’s always been. Marc runs a very good hotel and is one of the best General Managers I know. Oban Bay is a firm favourite of both my company and also on a personal level. It's not the cheapest hotel in town, but as with all things in life, you get what you pay for! The food was excellent as always - we ate like kings all week, so back on rations now! The rooms are delightful and the beds are just SO comfortable. Marc and his team put a lot of effort into the Burns Night celebrations and it didn't go unnoticed by me or my clients. A big thanks to the staff at Oban Bay for making me and my clients feel so welcome and looking after us exceedingly well. There is something special going on at Oban Bay, which I wish I could bottle and send round some of the other hotels we use. It is unique. I look forward to returning later in the year.…
My stay at the hotel was for my husbands birthday to say it was fantastic is an understatement. This is the fourth time we have stayed and it just gets better and better. We booked the Corrie Package dinner bed and breakfast. When we got there the room seemed a bit small so I said to the receptionist was that a petite room but it wasn’t so she gave us an upgrade into the Lorne suite it was absolutely beautiful I can’t thank her enough. Kevin booked me in for a facial which we got 20% off and we also did the high tea we got 20% off that as well I can honestly say your staff couldn’t have treated us any better. I explained to one of the girls in the restaurant it was Kevin birthday and she got a candle and happy birthday wrote on Kevin plate. I can’t wait to come back next January it’s not coming round quick enough 😂 thank you and your staff for such a magical couple of days your team are a credit to you and your hotel . My husband and I love going to Oban Bay hotel for the 3 day New Year package. We meet up with friend’s which makes our break all the more memorable. Stuart Anderson and his band were playing on New Years Eve and we were dancing all night. The food was off the highest standard and presentation was exceptional. The manager, Mark, couldn’t be more helpful to answer any queries. Overall, we had an excellent weekend and we’ve rebooked for next New Year. We’re hopefully bring our son and his wife and told friends how good the New Year package is. Dave and Yvonne Munro
A knight in shining armour mended my car as a guest in the hotel. Comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. Not prepossessing from the outside it has good decoration and my room was very comfortable with tartan curtains. A comfortable bed. My dogs were welcomed and well looked after.
Spent one night with my partner and my dog, and from start to finish it was absolutely incredible. Starting with beautiful views over the bay from the front of the hotel, into 90 mins in the spa which was excellent. In the evening, an absolutely fantastic meal in the restaurant and a few bottles of wine, and finally a relaxed and tasty breakfast in the morning before heading home. Really couldn’t fault the hotel, the facilities or the staff at any point. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful, and the spa is a real highlight especially as it was just us in there and we could enjoy it as we liked. Fantastic use of the space and the hot tub with a view out to the bay was just perfection. Would visit again in a heartbeat.
This was my first time in Oban and my first time in the Oban Bay Hotel. What can I say, both didn’t disappoint me. What a wonderful town and what a wonderful hotel. We were only staying the one night before going on the ferry to Oban in the morning. We arrived slightly early and was told by reception that our room had been upgraded to a junior suite. This was very pleasant surprise and couldn’t have been more pleased and what a tremendous surprise. The staff were very friendly and our dog Bailey even got her photo taken and added to the gallery of dogs that have stayed there. If you want a brilliant stay with amazing food and great views I would highly recommend this hotel. It is really central to town and to the station.
Our first time at the hotel but having stayed in other hotels belonging to the same chain I was confident all would be well. I was not disappointed! We were only booked in for one night and I wish it had been for longer. Our room was spotless and spacious and the bathroom had the most amazing shower. We had dinner In the hotel, which was delicious. Service was spot on, very friendly staff who managed to fit us in for breakfast even though we had overslept on the worlds comfiest bed! We will be back for longer next time.
Booked an overnight at The Oban Bay Hotel before our ferry to Mull the next morning. On arrival we were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite (The Kerrera) with the most amazing views across the bay. The staff were all fabulous and welcoming...especially to our dog Bailey who now has her picture on the pet photo gallery board in the hall next to the stairs. This hotel will definitely not disappoint...we will certainly be back again!!!
There are hotels in the West of Scotland that have kept up with the times, and there those that haven't. Fortunately, the Oban Bay is in the former. A lovely, cosy welcoming hotel, that has managed to maintain its traditional features, while fulfilling the needs of the modern traveler. The view from hotel - across the ever changing Oban Bay - are stunning. You can happily sit for an hour with a latte (or something stronger!) and watch the procession of ferries, trawlers, and sailing boats go about their business, while sea birds (& sometimes seals) hunt for food in the chilly seawaters, while the weather reinvents itself over & over again. Fantastic!
My sister booked a wee trip in Oban to celebrate her first day as a senior citizen 😊 she chose the Oban bay hotel and what a great choice. Highlight was great food and restaurant staff were 👌 Arran and young waitress were too notch 👌 thank you 🥰
