Stayed here one night and I enjoyed my stay. The rooms are very small for the price paid and pretty run down (although the furnishings are new) - but in saying that it tends to be the theme in Scotland where old buildings are used for hotels. Bed was comfortable and the room was warm. The breakfast was phenomenal. For...

Stayed here one night. The car park can't handle all the guests, but there is street parking and the front desk gentleman did help us cram in their car park as a few of us showed up at the same time. The room was clean, the bathroom spacious and the water pressure was great. The bar/lounge was good and we...

My room at The Queens was somewhat small but inviting and had excellent lighting, a not so common feature in many hotels. Both mattress and pillow were very comfortable. Manager, Stuart, is very hands-on and oversees an accommodating and helpful staff, especially at Reception. Included breakfast offered a nice variety on the buffet, as well as ordered items. Dinner was...

We stayed for 2 nights in May 15 at The Queens in Oban. I had judged from the photographs I saw on line that it might be a very nice hotel right up on the promenade and the water with a very attractive location and exterior. the interer - halls, rooms, bathrooms - were in dire need of updating and...

We stayed in a Best Western Hotel The Queens Hotel in Oban. The bed was poor and the room is very small. The is no lift from the ground floor to first floor. We used Bookings .com was a problem. The lobby is ok but old fashion. For the high cost is not justified. I cannot recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We wanted to go back to Oban because it's where we got married and as it was a special occasion, my husband wanted to 'push the boat out' and make sure everything was perfect so he booked a suite. My first impressions of the room...

This hotel is vastly over priced. £130 for small double room. The room was very clean, comfy bed and decent linen. No view, sofa, chair, dressing table, with small mirror, wardrobe, TV on wall. There is a mirror on wall but the wardrobe is in front of mirror so defeats the object of mirror being there. Bathroom clean, small, but...

Made a last minute booking for a trip to Oban, so had to pay £150 for one nights B&B The hotel receptionist was very helpful as we turned up around 2-40 and room wasn't ready. We had to wait with several other people until the rooms were ready but she did a good job of managing the situation. The room...

Easy to find, but parking very tight! Staff helpful and friendly. Room clean and adequate, suitable for overnight stay. Jacuzzi bath very relaxing after long drive, or being out in the rain. Short walk into Oban. Had evening meal in restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. I had the beef burger. It was well cooked and presented. Similarly I enjoyed an...

Location, staff, cleanliness, rooms and dining room all splendid, but the fish and chips that I chose for my main course at dinner were amongst the worst I have ever tasted. Quite a small amount of grey, dry fish and chips that tasted of nothing at all. But as others point out, it is only a short walk to town...
