Stayed here a couple of nights ago with a couple of friends for an overnight stay as we had business in Oban. First off the hotel is basic but clean and beds were comfortable. It's a wee bit tired in places but it was excellent value and the staff were friendly.

Rooms are disgusting, dampness round windows, hotel needs refurbished fast, would not recommend will not be back! Avoid, for a hotel it's shocking! It's like staying somewhere in the 1970, food ok just.

Visited in early January .. arrived in very cold weather but no rain. This is a beautiful old decor hotel from the outside, on the inside it is clean but quite old. Both bedrooms were near the top floor in the corner - both were clean, warm and with great beds and truly beautiful views out towards the islands. It...

Have stayed at the Regent Hotel before so were pleased to find that bedrooms had been decorated and bathrooms renewed. However our shower head was old and the shower was either scalding or freezing! Our room (101) was cosy and relatively quiet being at the end of the corridor. Breakfast was included both mornings and was decent. I would have...

For a hotel which charges 40 pounds per night, I think it is great value for money. No thrills, however it is clean and welcoming! The bar in the lounge is cheap and has wifi within it. We didn't have food so I cannot comment on that. The room We stayed in 203 - it was clean and welcoming! Bath...

Pros: Very friendly staff. Clean, warm rooms. Quiet. Excellent waterfront central location. Cons: Metal single glazed windows covered in condensation in morning. Peeling paper around windows. Paint on woodwork around windows flaking off, see photo. Overall decor is tired and needs updated. Overall, if not for the very friendly helpful staff I would have given the Regents 2 stars. It...
