The Ranald is well located in the town centre with easy access to the train station and ferry terminal. The rooms are nicely done out and very clean. There is a reception/bar/breakfast area. Lots of great restaurants in Oben.

This little cozy hotel was an amazing surprise. The rooms where really comfortable and the bed was very comfortable, really very good. The breakfast was also very good, the buffet had a good variety of choices, and there was also additional dishes made to order. All were very tasteful in a small cozy restaurant. Amazing and delightful. The staff was...

Room was excellent, clean and tidy. Only a shower Staff were good and very helpful. The breakfast was great and was well presented. Small hotel but very modern and well decorated. No parking and car parking was a little walk from location of hotel.

Everything was as expected. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely. Simple breakfast as they can't really cook on the premises but it was lovely none the less. Our room was on the 3rd floor which got a bit tedious as there was no lift but it was okay. About a 5 to 10 minute walk to the main...

A nice hotel close to town centre. Very clean and tidy throughout. Good comfortable bedrooms. Only one girl on breakfast to start with and she had a fair bit to cope with. Disappointed that there was no "Scottish Breakfast" on offer but what was there was good (particularly the fruit salad) and plentiful.

The staff were really helpful and pleasant. The room very bright and roomy and cleanliness was first class. Location was very close to town centre and lots of lovely eating places. Nice Scottish handwash and moisturising cream in the shower and bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent, however the hotel did...

Cute small hotel. Small room. Best part was person who checked us in and made us breakfast in the AM. He was great, very kind and we felt appreciated which is so important. Thank you!! Street parking can be tough $$

We picked a fantastic weekend for our trip to Oban. Weather was superb. Stayed in the Ranald Hotel based on recommendations from friends. Very nice, modern well appointed hotel. However, breakfast was an absolute shambles. No reflection on the poor young lady on duty who battled on admirably. Not quite sure if there was a staff / rota issue but...

We checked in under a two night stay deal. The location is very central, especially for the ferry terminal. The room was great, the hotel looks like it has been newly refurbished. We had a room at the back (209) which benefited from having a sofa bed seating area which gave us plenty room. We experienced no noise during our...

Hi, stayed here recently with an itison voucher, large room with very comfortable bed. Our room was on the third floor but we'd been told that in advance so no problem. Particularly worthy of praise is Cloudy (sp?), young women working on morning of 26th March, she was on her own when 20+ guests arrived at the same time for...
