We stayed at Roseneath on a tour of Scotland. We were only there one night but the accommodations were very nice. We had a wonderful breakfast the next morning and enjoyed the opportunity to talk with the owner, Sarah. She was very knowledgeable about Scottish history and shared some of her books and maps with us. I would definitely recommend...

My partner and I spent 2 nights at Sarah's lovely Victorian guesthouse as a birthday gift for me. A charming period house, with good value, clean and comfortable accommodation. Sarah is very knowledgeable about local history (and much else besides!) and works extremely hard to make guests feel at home. We had a lovely double room ( no view of...

We spend two nights at this lovely guesthouse. Our room had a stunning view of the Oban seaside, as the house is set on a hill. The room was cozy and very clean with everything you need. Sarah the host is a wonderful, warm hearted lady. We appreciated her very unique and artistic character so much! The guesthouse is just...

This has had some mixed comments and I can see why. Run by the lovably eccentric Sarah, it is one of the very few reasonably priced B&Bs in Oban that has good private parking and is on a really quiet cul de sac. Also, the views from the front top floor rooms, 9 and 7, are stunning, overlooking the bay....

This is a very charming guesthouse in the centre of the small town of Oban. Our room was small (they do have bigger ones), but still it had everything we needed. There is a shared refrigerator in the hallway. The owner Sarah is very helpful indeed, and when asked, will suggest restaurants and places to visit and see in the...

I only had one night in Oban and my stay was less than 24 hours, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sarah, the hostess, is so sweet and charming and the room, although snug, was very comfortable. It's a short walk to the waterfront in downtown Oban (it's a pretty steep one!) with plenty of meal options. Breakfast was made to...

This is a nice property in a good location with adequate parking as long as you are quite good at backing into tight corners. The proprietor is very friendly and has slightly unusual ways which some people might find quaint and endearing, although they were not to my preference. The room would have been good except that I was disgusted...

Roseneath Guesthouse is a lovely place to stay in Oban. It is situated on high on the hill overlooking the sea on a quiet street. The owner is wonderful and she can’t do enough to make you happy during your stay. The breakfasts will keep you going all morning with the pancakes being some of the best I’ve ever had....
