Family traveled here for a funeral. They were frozen. The windows were a poor fit and the noise from the trains was no help. Finally there was no food. No breakfast in the winter months. Will not use this location, which was not the first choice again.

I arrived without my luggage, the airline having lost it. Monorene house really helped me out, treating me well, giving me some advice, helping me get new clothes, and literally giving me some clothes to wear. The location is perfect, right by the train station. A fantastic experience with a professionally-handled staff.

We stayed here for an overnight, very welcoming it was. It felt home from home. Excellent location for shopping, eating out, great value for money. Loving family feel to the guest house. Breakfast well what can I say amazing, compliments to the chef, hearty breakfast I didn't eat the remainder of the day. Will definitely recommend this establishment to people....

Stayed here numerous times. I think we have stayed in most of the rooms. Always get a warm welcome. Right across the road from the new train station. But we did not hear any train noise Clean rooms, comfy beds. Joan does a fab breakfast. Malcolm always has a story to tell. Lovely couple Looking forward to returning soon.

our hosts Malcolm & Joan were exceptionally friendly & helpful. Malcolm very kindly mapped out a day tour for us which was most enjoyable. The rooms were very clean & the breakfasts were great. We couldn't ask for nicer people to stay with, & would certainly stay there again. An extra bonus was the train station had just opened before...
