Lovely rooms overlooking the Eildon Hills, an amazing breakfast with fresh fruit and a variety of other choices, and on top of that the warmth of Alison and Bryan to make it complete! What else could you ask for? We stayed with Alison and Bryan in Hawick some years ago, and this was just as nice. Missed the bagpipe wake...

This is the third time I have stayed at Dunfermline House, and the levels of service and comfort remain consistently high. Alison and Bryan are most welcoming and make you feel at home straight away. I had a comfortable bed in a cosy room with a modern en suite equipped with all the things I could possibly need. Breakfast is...

Excellent in every way. Comfortable, relaxed, welcoming, beautiful breakfast with lots of choice. Right in centre of this popular tourist town. Close to start of St Cuthberts Way and many other super walks.

We always stay at this b& b when we visit the Scottish Borders. So very friendly, clean and the breakfast was very good with a great choice of foods. The room was very good with everything we needed. It was very warm and cosy.

This B&B is tucked away off the Main Street but with car parking opposite. The room was large airy and quiet. The owners are very welcoming and you have Melrose abbey and the Eildon hills in easy walking distance. The Eildon hills give superb views but you'll need walking gear and a sure foot. Breakfast can be a full Scottish...

This is one of the best B&Bs ever. The breakfast was far above expectation with specials every day and the range of fruit including fresh was incredible. Our room was lovely with a range of hot drinks along with our kettle. The bathroom was cosy and the shower perfect. Our hosts were friendly and the morning banter while being served...

This is a really excellent place to stay in Melrose. We spent 3 nights there whilst we were beginning the St Cuthbert's Way walk. Dunfermline House is a lovely, family-run B&B perfectly positioned opposite the Abbey. The rooms were spotless, comfortable with very good (free) wifi. Breakfasts were outstanding and the couple who run it could not be more obliging...

Our 30th stay at Dunfermline House. It never changes. Lovely very obliging people, breakfasts to die for and comfortable rooms. Great location for touring the beautiful Scottish Border country. Plenty of free, on street parking.

A friend and I stayed here for one night, like many others, prior to starting the St Cuthbert's Way walk. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We had a twin room, whilst small it was perfectly formed, clean, looked recently decorated and well equipped. The tea and coffee tray had lots of choice, the en-suite shower room had a...
