We stayed at the Townhouse for a short break on 4-5 March and it proved to be a very good choice. Although in the centre of town it is quiet. Parking is in the yard of the hotel across the road - and if you are lucky you can pull up near the hotel front. The road is a one...

Attended for a meeting in the function suit. Lots of 2/3 steps to go up and down to get through to function suite. Coffee, tea & shortbread was on offer. Coffee wasn't anything fancy but the shortbread was lovely. Meeting facilities fairly basic and dated. Friendly staff. Parking difficult although there is a public car park a 2min walk away.

Had an overnight stay here. Lovely room, plenty of space, nice and clean. Vegetarian option on the Scottish breakfast including veggie haggis. Breakfast was excellent. All staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel.

Marion and I stayed here for two nights dinner, bed & breakfast from 20 Feb 17. We had a superior room at the front of the hotel and it was superior. A large very comfortable bed complete with large wardrobe counting a large screen TV and the ensuite was excellent. The hotel was nicely decorated throughout with quality furnishings. We...

We stayed in this lovely Hotel last Sunday night. Our Room, No5 was beautiful. Very spacious, immaculate, extremely comfortable bed and nice bathroom. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the Brasserie and breakfast on Monday morning was faultless. Cooked to order, fresh and delicious. Excellent friendly, professional service at all times. Would definitely recommend and definitely will be back.

Saw Cullen Skink on the menu board outside the day before we visited but we were too late for lunch so made a point in being before 2 o'clock the next day. Best Cullen Skink I had tasted if back in Melrose would certainly revisit.

We stayed for one night, a last-minute decision on our journey south from Edinburgh. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was quiet, spacious immaculately clean and well maintained. Dinner in the brasserie was excellent, good quality, flavoursome and generous portions (no room for a dessert!). Parking outside the hotel has a one hour time limit,...
