Fab place to eat and stay and staff very friendly. Food is top class. Highly recommend the beef blade it just melts in your mouth. The prawn cocktail sounds like something plain but here its the best you'll ever taste

Ideal for central Melrose. We stayed here for a wedding and were a little disappointed by a couple of things: - We were told at check in that breakfast was 08:30-10:00, so arrived about 09:15 to find out it finished at 9! Thankfully, we were provided breakfast but it wasn't fresh. - During the morning of getting ready for the... More

I have read some of the previous reviews and wasn't expecting much. However our stay was perfect from check in due to check out. Our room was outstanding. Spotless and complete with bottled water, biscuits, plenty of coffee, tea and milk. The most comfortable sleep I have had in any hotel. The breakfast menu can compete with any 5 star... More

Very disappointed in the food. 2 ordered Steaks which had to be sent back as they were Cold. The Plates were cold that the food arrived on and the... More

Went to restaurant for evening meal. Ordered lasagne. Was on the menu served with garlic bread and salad. Salad never arrived. Garlic bread was burnt. The cheese sauce on the top was solid. Appeared very hot on outside but only lukewarm in the middle, YUK. Our son had a steak , had to ask for a steak knife to enable... More

Just home with chronic indigestion after and appalling meal. We arrived at 5 after being told that the evening meals were not served until 5 - we had wanted to eat at 4 - only to find out that its exactly the same menu at 4 or 5. Quite why they limit the menu on a Sunday is beyond me.... More

We had a very tasty lunch while visiting Melrose, staying on Gibson Park caravan site, only downside was the drinks were expensive but will say the food was excellent.Would certainly go back if we were in the area.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as visiting family in Scotland for the first time. This hotel was recommended by a family member and we were't disappointed! Although there are a few things that could do with a bit of updating-our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable! The hotel is clean and the staff very welcoming. We... More
