Having received an amazone voucher to be used by 28 Feb phoned to book standard room. However none available , I would question then why have this deal as we were forced to upgrade or loss the voucher as it would expire . Not to be put off paid additional £105 on top of the voucher to upgrade as no... More

Stayed for a Saturday night at the beginning of Feb. The hotel is a lovely old mansion house set in beautiful grounds, the quality of the room was very good and we found it amazing that we could bring our dog into accommodation of this standard. The walking around the property and the countryside beyond was beautiful, helped by the... More

My wife and I just had two great nights at the Cringletie house (castle more like) from reception taking us to our room to the nicest waiting staff I have came across in a long time, these people alone would make it a great stay, But the cherry on the cake is the food, afternoon tea evening meals are made... Just left after having a fantastic valentines stay. Beautiful hotel. Lovely room (bit too warm and window wouldn't open, not too much of a problem though)! Food was delicious! Cocktails were very nice! Bartender was extremely friendly and chatty! Staff were very very nice and extremely helpful. The only thing my husband and I didn't really appreciate was when an... More

Stayed here overnight as Valentine's treat. Amazing meal (the haggis bonbons are to die for) and lovely hotel and setting with very friendly staff. Have tried other hotels in Peebles but this one is the best by a country mile.

My daughter and I visited Cringletie for afternoon tea after purchasing an Amazon Local deal and were delighted with our experience. After a friendly welcome, we were shown to the room where tea was served and offered a wonderful selection of teas or coffee, including some unusual varieties. A lovely selection of freshly made sandwiches followed, along with delicious cakes... More

We have just had a fabulous stay at this hotel with my parents. The rooms were lovely, the staff are so friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing - really amazing! Absolutely faultless. We asked for some crisps in our room at one point and 20 mins later we were presented with a bowl of crisps freshly made by... More

We stayed here for 1 night on an Amazon Local Deal -Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. The setting was amazing, as was the room and the food. However, we felt the service provided by the under-trained and inexperienced staff did not reflect the 4 star rating. I provided detail of our observations on departure which were duly noted. I doubt it... More
