Finally got round to reviewing our lovely stay at beautiful Hazeldean House. Came on family holiday with our 2 year old and Billy and Wilma were delightful hosts. Our family room was cosy with a large ensuite bathroom which was ideal for our little one. We also loved the fridge in the room which was so handy to have. The...

I stayed at Hazeldean for roughly 10 weeks on and off for work and have to say Bill is an excellent host. All the rooms are of the same high standard, and the little extras like well stocked tea tray, toiletries and the free wifi are an added bonus. Would highly this B&B to anyone looking for accommodation in Dumfries.

Billy was an excellent host and the historical Hotel the best. He was very knowledgeable, of the beautiful history of JM Barry who hailed from Dumfries. Wendy also thoroughly enjoyed her Scottish stay in wonderous Galloway and l my fantastical Cycling experiences again in the mysterious Lowlands. I give Hazledean 10 outta 10 all around ! A great place to stay. I would recommend it highly to anyone. Great food, clean, very comfortable and super hospitality. I was fascinated by the ornaments and style of decoration. It is unique. Next time i will stay longer than one night.

Excellent. Could not fault it. The owner Bill and his lovely wife were absolutely lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very clean and included everything you could possibly need. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend. I will not use any other hotel from now on when I visit Dumfries other than this one. Thank you for your...

I had unexpectedly extended my trip by one day to finally get some sunrise and sunset shots I wanted on my week visit to Scotland. I was lucky to get a room at this lovely B&B last minute. The room was large with a stunning four poster bed and large tv. I chose it due to be walking distance to...

The property is spotlessly clean, the wifi was fast and free and breakfast was delicious each morning! Little Susie "Russel" was just and added extra! Would very much recommend and the...

Hazeldean is perfectly located in a quiet street just a short stroll from centre of Dumfries and train station. Hosts Billy and Wilma are just charming and they obviously display great pride in their wonderful house with sumptuous furnishings. You can see it in every detail. Spotlessly clean accommodation, comfy bed, superb cooked breakfast and all served up with a...

This stay was the last night of a 15 day tour of Scotland, moving on nearly every day. It was outstanding in every respect. Stayed in a basement room for one night. This had originally been the coal-hole and had been wonderfully converted into a double en-suite room, all mod-cons and with many additions and ornaments - one really has...
