Booked for a 1 night stay for a reasonable rate. First impressions very good , nice building and interior. Biggest disappointment was the mattress, it had to be the noisiest we have ever slept on. Every turn woke us both up and we got up feeling tired. Breakfast was very good as was the service

Stayed for 1 night on way back home after weekend in Glasgow. I found the hotel on booking.com but then booked direct on their own webpage. Easy to find just over a mile from centre of Dumfries. Got a warm welcome & the communal areas & room were really clean & didn't feel like a B&B. We walked into Dumfries...

The room I was in was very good value for money, the shower room was very clean but dated with a shower which could do with a bit power behind it. Staff were very welcoming and the breakfast chef who coupled as the waiter served a good breakfast very quickly. The building needs a fresh coat of paint externally and...

I booked this lovely B&B last minute as a stop over for my works Christmas night out. the room was spotlessly clean, comfortable with all the usual extras inc. will definitely book again. Large car park to the back of the house making parking easy. Owner was very polite and helpful.

We had just one night, arriving about 6, very welcoming staff, lovely spacious room 1, I think an extra £10, but very nice, even had a 4 poster bed, if that makes any difference, no bath, just a shower, but very clean, tidy and lots of hot water. Breakfast was ordered the previous evening, but when it came it was...

Just back from a 2 night stay - room 5 - unexpected 4 poster bed was an additional bonus.Room being warm on arrival was appreciated as cold outside. Ideally located for the main A75 road and close to two great restaurants in Little Italy and Casa Mia. The decor added character and warmth to the building. The breakfast was plentiful...

A note on door said to call this number as no one was in. Oh no we thought not a good start to the stay. But ......it was not a problem. the phone was answered promptly and we were told where to get keys, real keys not key cards, when the heating would come on (important as it was cold)....

Well situated near to the A75. Room was lovely, full of character, could be viewed as being rather dark but this is in keeping with the style of the house. Breakfast room and breakfast itself were lovely. Pity it didn't have a lounge in the Arts & Crafts style. Could do with a bit more information for the tourist, there...
