My sister and I stayed here and found the food and room to be good and the owner very nice and helpful. We loved walking the grounds (woodland paths) and were able to borrow the owner's small friendly dog who scampered along w/o leash and made us feel right at home.

Made a last minute mountain biking trip to Mabie forest. Stayed in the camping pods at Mabie House hotel. The pods were clean and comfortable, in a lovely setting and were in an ideal location to access MTB trails. The toilet and shower facilities are basic, but again were clean, well maintained and ideal for getting cleaned up after a... More

Spent last night (20th May) here. I was on a study tour with 9 youths and had originally booked in at Marthrown of Mabie but on arrival there, the noise from the generator was horrendous. We went to Mabie house for a meal and enquired about the cost of staying there. It wasn't a great deal more than the hostel... More

We opted for a simple ceremony and no formal reception so I was not sure that Mabie would accept our somewhat limited request - but they could not have been more helpful and the hotel and grounds were a wonderful venue. The staff are friendly and accommodating (getting last minute irons and lost buttonholes). Thanks to all

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. We stayed in the Pods that were warm and cosy and great value for money but pack light! It was a great alternative to camping. The hotel itself is situated in stunning scenery with miles of cycling trails for all levels of experience. The full Scottish breakfast set you up for the day and the... More

Just home from a 4 night stay at Mabie House, which was brilliant, as ever. On possibly the snowiest week of the winter, Mabie House was a great place to stay - warm cosy atmosphere & rooms; great views; the snowy, romantic forest on your doorstep. And the food... wonderful!! This was our fourth stay at Mabie & certainly won't... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend, We got a great out of season rate (definitely worth asking what they can offer out of season, having a good dinner, bed and breakfast rate made all the difference. The food is delicious! especially the sweets....sticky toffee to die for! and sweet chef does some fabulous presentations. The staff are lovely and friendly.... More

We decided to have a wee night of adventure with our 2yr old and 4 year old in the heated pods in winter. The pods were great and warm on a chilly evening. The staff were very nice and welcoming but wanted to warn those on you with small children that we found a meal in the hotel very expensive.... More
