We enjoyed an overnight stay at Blaven in Kirkcudbright. The proprietor was very welcoming and helpful and the B&B is located in a nice quiet area and was great value for money. The rooms were very clean with an extensive range of choices for breakfast.

Thank you for your review, I hope you enjoyed your trip home and that The Big Kelpies are not too upset by the attention the Maketts are getting in Kirkcudbright at the moment.

Pat & her husband made us all welcome and were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. One of the best b&b,s we have stayed at. Only down side was distance from town but taxi was cheap enough. Room was lovely with huge on suite bathroom. Owner was very helpful and couldn't do enough to help.

Quiet, peaceful location. Immaculate accommodation and the room was very comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent. The owner Pat even considered my husband's needs and provided gluten free products. Stayed for two nights and wished it had been longer. Would recommend this accommodation and wish to return for another visit. We really did experience personal service and felt extremely well looked after.
