Hilary and Gordon certainly have a magic touch. After a greuling trip getting to town, we were immediately put at ease with their friendly, welcoming demeanor. Actually their hospitality started weeks before arrival helping us find a way to get into town and suggestions for what we could do while here. Nice rooms, great central location, fabulous breakfast with home...

Gordon and Hilary were great hosts. Their house is beautiful, extremely central (although very quiet) - very handy for Selkirk Arms if you are eating there. Rooms were immaculate and breakfast was wonderful. We'll definitely be back!

We stayed at Gladstone House for two nights. The house is a lively Georgian town house with lots of character. The room was very clean and had everything we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Hilary and Gordon were fantastic hosts, very easy going and friendly. They made us a pot of tea...

Another wonderful stay with Hilary and Gordon in their charming property near the Tolbooth. The bedrooms are lovely, and we had sunshine streaming into our sitting area by the window in the morning, perfect for the morning cuppa watching the town wake up. Then a truly yummy breakfast cooked and served with wit and aplomb by Gordon, who is full...

Another lovely stay with Gordon and Hilary. They are so welcoming, it just feels like home. As comfortable as ever and the breakfast is still the best I have had I in a B and B - but then this is so much more than B and B - cooked and served with wit, aplomb and much laughter by Gordon,...

We had a very enjoyable weekend at this beautiful Guest House. Situated in the middle of the town the accommodation is tastefully decorated with well appointed bedrooms. There is a large comfortable guest lounge and we were served tea and cake on arrival. Breakfast was perfect with cereal and fresh fruit followed by an ample cooked breakfast. Would happily recommend...

Gordon and Hilary have a delightful Guest House situated in the centre of Kirkcudbright. The house is beautiful and the hospitality is unrivalled. Although on the High Street the rooms are quiet. Kirkcudbright is by the sea with a harbour, a castle and numerous art galleries.

We stayed with young sons and cousins for a family funeral. Hilary and Gordon were welcoming and charming. Nothing was too much trouble for them, in spite of the boys going out for folk singing at the Gordon House next door, not coming in until 3 in the morning and then not getting out of their room until almost 11!...

My partner, Gillian, and I have just returned from yet another wonderful few days staying with Gordon and Hilary in their marvellous B&B. Everything, the room, dinner, breakfast, and company were up to their usual high standard, and the craic with Gordon and Hilary was as funny as usual. We look forward to our next visit.

All three areas for a guest house covered with aplomb. Friendly hosts, light, comfortable and clean room of a good size and the breakfast was delicious - home made rhubarb compote on porridge, mmmh! Only wish we had room for the cooked breakfast too as it looked lovely.

Thank Chris N
