Olive and Alastair are two of the nicest people you would ever want to meet and they do a great job hosting their guests! We felt right at home and enjoyed our stay. The Anchorlee is not in the center of town, but it is only a short walk to the restaurants, pubs, harbor, and castle. We actually were glad...

Just back from spending three nights at the Anchorlee whilst taking part in a wildlife photography course in the area. Excellent, spotlessly clean room and Olive really could not have been more helpful, accommodating early starts and packed lunches. A wonderful friendly place to stay. If you go, ask her about the elephant........

Olive and Alistair were great. We only had one night but they looked after us well. Olive went out of her way to help us find a distant relative. The room was comfortable, breakfast was tremendous and if we come back to Kirkcudbright we'll be staying here

Received a warm welcome to this first rate B&B. Room was luxury, large and very clean. Brilliant breakfast with a lots of choice, made to order. As a former hotelier I know when a place is well run, and The Anchorlee passes the first class award with ease.
