Decided to break our journey Sutherland to Shropshire, booked one night but liked it so much stayed an extra night. We stayed in the twin bedroom granny flat, nice and spacious, clean and well equipped.

This is a great B & B. It's in a large Victorian house on a quiet, leafy residential area just outside the centre, and within a short distance from a pretty decent Italian restaurant. The room I had was light, well-appointed and clean, and the bathroom modern. It overlooked the large garden, which is bordered by trees, and a terrace... More

Clarefoot was the perfect stopping point for us on way up and back down from the Highlands. Lovely welcome from Derek who had kindly put us in the attached apartment for our convenience with a 5 year old at no extra cost. Absolutely perfect ! Fully equipped so as we didn't want a huge supper we visited local shop and... More

We spent one night at Clarefoot residence as a family. Warm welcome, big rooms en-suite, very quiet, excellent breakfast. We could not expect more. Moffat is a beautiful living old little town. It was Ecalle a very pleasant stay.

This was the third time I've stayed at Clarefoot as a stopover during a motorcycle tour around Scotland. After a long slog up the M6, getting to the B&B and relaxing in the lovely grounds and grand yet warm house was bliss. Always a cheery and interested welcome, with clean and tidy rooms and a delicious full breakfast, I highly... More

Arrived for an overnight on the way to the Western Highlands and straight away we felt that this wasn't long enough. Moffat is a beautiful little town with stunning scenery and the Clarefoot Residence B&B is superb. We were warmly welcomed by Yvonne and shown to a beautiful double room with ensuite at the front of the house. Everything was... More

After visiting Clarefoot last year Yvonne mentioned about the many golf courses in East Lothian and the property she had just to the South of Edinburgh. Myself and a friend decided to visit East Lothian for golf at the end of August. We spent 3 nights at the property and we were very impressed with it and, its location. Yvonne... More

Stayed four nights last week with a friend in the Granny annex and have had a lovely time, enjoying every minute. The two bedroomed annex was spotlessly clean, warm & very cosy - it was nice to have access to the heating controls which is not often the case. Beds were very clean & comfortable and there was always plenty... More

My wife and I just spent 2 nights here, and it is wonderful. A lovely house in a great spot, fantastic breakfast and the most welcoming owners. A pleasant stroll from the town, Will certainly return, when hopefully the weather will be a bit drier!

We had an excellent overnight stop here and Yvonne was very welcoming and cooked an excellent breakfast. It was really a trip of nostalgia for us as one of our close relatives actually owned the property back in the 1950's and I had many happy memories of holidays spent there as a child. It was great to see the property... More

“I believe the main B&B is top notch, we had a dog, so for us the granny flat best fitted the bill.”

“Twin rooms are at back with pretty views to hills. Double room overlooks garden, but house is sideways on to road, so back and front have little relevance with respect to traffic noise, but there was none anyway.”
