What a great B&B. Mark and Dawn were perfect hosts. Easy to chat too, we had some laughs. Nice homemade cookies in the room and cake on arrival. Great room, nice comfy bed, a good night's sleep. Great breakfast, really fills you up. Great homemade marmalade or jams with breakfast. Always had a welcome when I returned in the evenings and fresh milk in a flask for the room. Thanks for a great 5 night stay

Booking We had booked via the website and it had lots of information, I also emailed to just inform the the owners that we had a dog so would need the dog friendly room. We had a quick response and it was a warm friendly email. Arrival Parking is on the street which was no issues as we managed to find a space straight away just around the corner and it was free. The first appearance is really nice outside it is down a side street off the high street and literally two mins walk to the local hotels, pubs and shops etc. Its really clean and well presented and the location is great especially if you dont want to use your car whilst staying here. In the street there are some local shops and the bed and breakfast is at the bottom of the street on the right hand side coming from the high street. We rang ahead and give the owners the a time of what time we would be arriving. When we did arrive we was greeted by Mark and Dawn who are the owners and they welcomed us with a drink and some lovely little treats. We was shown to our room as we did arrive about 7:15pm and we had booked into the hotel for something to eat which was recommended to us by Mark so we booked ahead to make sure we could get in. Room The room we had was on the ground floor at the back of the house we had the dog friendly room as we had our dog with us. The room was really nice it had a tiled floor which is fab if you have a dog, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, the shower room was a good size and it had a comfy bed. We had a TV, wifi and everything we needed. There wasnt really a view from the window but that didnt bother us. The room is ample size and it was lovely and light. Bathroom The ensuite room had a shower which was amazing, plenty of hot water and the shower was powerful, hand basin was large and the tiled floor was lovely and clean. Lots of clean fluffy towels and face cloths which was a bonus. Breakfast Breakfast was cooked to order with a pre-order the night before, but I am sure that if you changed your mind in the morning Mark and Dawn wouldnt have bothered. Due to the restrictions everything was brought to the table, so we was asked if we wanted orange juice, cereals etc. The cooked breakfast was amazing and the sausages where delicious. Plenty of toast and tea and coffee and we was asked if we needed anything. Both Mark and Dawn when present in the breakfast room wore masks and the breakfast room was spotless. Eating Out & Location My advice would be to book ahead, I have been to Moffat quite a few times previously and know that nothing is really open late, there is a takeaway at the top of the high street and I did check to see if this was open before landing but its not open on a Monday. So when I emailed Mark and Dawn they gave me places of which was dog friendly eating places. We decided to book the Star Hotel which was excellent. obviously with COVID-19 you do have to book ahead. The Star Hotel was literally one minute walk from the bed and breakfast which is ideal. I suppose if you just wanted to have a drink you might easily have been able to get one but otherwise if you dont want to book an eating place then the local convenience shop was open but I think that closed at 8pm. Pricing Pricing - £75 for two adults in great room with one dogs is a fantastic price to pay Overall Amazing hosts very friendly and welcoming and very informative on whats available in the area Spotlessly clean everywhere Price is amazing for what you get Booking is easy Website very informative Would definetly recommend this to other people. Santisers where available at the reception area

We stayed in Moffat for 1 night on our travels around Scotland. We were warmly welcomed by Mark and Dawn. We were very pleased with our twin room. Room was clean and perfect for what we needed. Mark and Dawn were able to recommend on local places for a evening meal. Parking was easy and close by. We were very happy with breakfast. The system of ordering the night before was ideal. If we needed we would definitely recommend the stay and stay again ourselves.
