Forbes of Kingennie hosted the September 2015 event for Casting for Recovery where 13 ladies who had suffered breast cancer learned how to fly fish. Gail and Mike Forbes are amazing hosts, nothing is too much trouble and the rest of the staff at the resort are helpful all the time. The food and accommodation are 5 star and we...

We stay here almost every year for the last 10+ years. Always excellent. They have a range of holiday lodges of varying styles and sizes all to a high standard. Also a 9 hole golf course, plenty of fishing, bar and restaurant too. Service always good. Popular for weddings so you can get a bit of noise sometimes.

We have stayed at Bards Neuk many times as a family and are soon to return. The varied accommodation and location suits us very well. Although the lodge is a little 80s it feels like our second home and I can't wait to return.

Thank you for writing a review of your stay. Bards Neuk, meaning 'Poet's Corner', is definitely one of our most unique luxury lodges as it has a strong South African twist on the décor. It is owned by good South African friends of the Forbes family so it has a special meaning to the resort. We find that a lot...
