This place has some potential as it is an historic large old stone home. First the owner did provide a fan for our room, so Thankyou. However it is currently being renovated and in truth should not be offered for rent. The caretaker (owners term, we called him Andy), welcomed us and did all in his power to make our...

Stayed overnight in the cottage which is modern, clean and well appointed. Bedroom, living room and kitchen are all a good size and the bathroom was spotless. The courtyard garden is lovely and must be great in the better weather! Easy to find, ample parking and a convivial host make Ashlea Manor an ideal base for exploring the area.

We were visiting family for Christmas so needed a base nearby and I'm very glad we stayed here rather than in a soulless hotel. The cottage has a nice front garden set in the larger grounds where I can imagine sitting in the summer. It is a short walk to the bakers and shops as well as the sea though...

Thanks for your review. It is most appreciated Yes I confirm the has undergone a revamp and will soon be very comfortable. It has had a completely new bathroom and bedroom as well as brand new sofa bed. Further plans are afoot for a cosy log burner, outdoor jacuzzi bath and an extra bedroom on the top floor

My husband and I have stayed at Ashlea many times with the previous owners, we have recently stayed for four nights with the present owner when we were accomodated in the cottage. The cottage was adequate for two people,it was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We found the owner most helpful.

We stayed in the cottage, which has modern appliances in the well appointed kitchen, a large lounge and very comfortable bedroom. There is ample parking and a courtyard garden, which would be ideal in good weather. It is very conveniently situated near the village and restaurants.

I did not expect a large bedroom with an en suite bath and shower a separate kitchen and spacious lounge. The new owner Calum is a real star who only settles for the best of amenities. The building is stately and will be a destination for Golfers, business people of families perched to explore the coast or hills.

This beautiful Victorian house and well apportioned gardens are a delight. The establishment is immaculately kept and spotlessly clean. We only stayed 1night and I wish we could have stayed longer. The surroundings are tranquil. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. The owners were so welcoming it was a pleasure to stay in their lovely home. Exceptional value for money.

Stayed here as a base for 3 days of golf at Carnoustie. The accommodation is wonderful and the hosts - John and Ros - looked after us fabulously. It's been a while since I stayed in a Guest House (rather than a hotel) and I had forgotten just how much more comfortable and welcoming they are. And the highlight was...

Sorry, the previous owners neglected it and never re-invested in the property. I am currently making it so much better and comfortable for future guests on a room only basis.

We stayed here for our daughter's graduation and it was wonderful. Beautiful old house with magnificent stairway. Downstairs bedroom for those with reduced mobility with ensuite. Excellent breakfast with local top class ingredients . Lovely owners who made our stay very special. Handy location - near Dundee & St Andrews.

We have stayed here many times and are never disappointed. We like to stay in the cottage, if it is available, where you have good lounge and kitchen as well as a large, comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast remains one of the best in a B&B and John and Ros are great hosts. We will return and thoroughly recommend.
