I arrive in Dundee, late in the afternoon by train from London, on a blustery and very cold winter’s day in early January of 2017. It was already dark; and I was somewhat weary, and most certainly famished, after my journey. Fortuitously it was not snowing at that moment and there was a taxi, albeit only one, waiting outside the...

This was our first visit to Broughty Ferry and Dundee, a 2-night midweek stay, and from the minute we arrived Linda and her team made us perfectly welcome. Our room was very comfortable and well-equipped, overlooking the street but completely quiet at night. The bar was a delight, with a good selection of real ales and malts served up by...

Went there as a birthday break for my partner. Check in was simplicity itself, and we were shown to our room which was clean , tidy and comfortably warm.. The dining room, although small, offered a warm welcome and the food was delicious. We had the steaks and a bottle of red which was a bargain. Highly recommended. Breakfast was...

Second time i have visited and not disappointed. Good offer on meals and daily specials on food and drink. Opted for the 2 meals for £10.99, options veg curry, chicken curry, lasagne and macaroni cheese with or without leeks and bacon (extra £1) other choices available, but cannot remember them all! Opted for Macaroni again as you get chips, garlic...

I was up a few days ago and went in for a delicious pub meal less than 50 yards from the sea front. All the staff were very friendly and I'd forgotten how nice Broughty Ferry was. I'm sure I'll be back.

We did enjoy this as an overnight stay. Not a good start though...it was very cold and when we arrived we were taken to the room, and they hadn't even put the radiators on in advance. The room was therefore cold and uninviting. So, shivering and tired, we turned them on..after that things were good. Nice meal, friendly staff, good atmosphere..just...

My 4th stay here, simply because the atmosphere is good, the place is well managed and the food excellent. The 'Executive Room' was spacious and comfortable. A definite favourite. Wifi is temperamental however.

My friend and I stayed for one night on (literally) a flying visit. Really pleased with the rooms, which were spotless and comfortable. Enjoyed the bar with a good selection of real ales and then had a very good meal. Interesting area to walk around with a combination of history ( castle) and shops. All in all an enjoyable stay...
