Greeted by reception to a cheery welcome. Made sure our 2 motorbikes were stored safely. Bar staff and reception really friendly and helpful. Pointed the bus stop for our trip into the city for the evening. Rooms are recently refurbished I think and pretty smart. Beer garden at rear is a nice sun trap for a drink. This is a...

We have just returned from a family break at this hotel and I can say this is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. This was a last minute break for our family on a bank holiday weekend so we were a little apprehensive. However what a pleasant surprise, the hotel was easy to find and with plenty...

Northfield offers a great tai courses for not much deal and there were some nice things to choose from. There's also an a-la-carte menu, which actually isn't much more for two courses and the selection is wider. Both of our meals were very satisfactory, and the wines quite acceptable as well. Plus, there was a bonus squirrel out on the...

Booked for business after a hectic previous 3 days of tour guiding overseas visitors to Britain. Parking immediately outside, all felt very secure. Warm welcome in hotel reception, cosy bar area, superb restaurant and food, pleasant surprise with large double bedroom - and great sleep. Thanks to the owners for making my stay so restful and exceeding my original expectations....

A small friendly hotel with ample parking, a bar area and a cafe and restaurant. It is clean, comfortable, with large bedrooms compared to many. They clearly try very hard to make this a comfortable place - large TV screens, large bed and enough furniture to make it more than an average B&B. It is great value for money- I...

I stayed here for one night [Friday £99] due to a family funeral. The location even though next to a busy road and music from the bar area none could be heard in the room [4]. The room its self was nothing special it was clean tidy, had a single bed/chair/table/bedside cabinet with light/hot drinks facilities/wardrobe with mirror and a...

Super location for a small buffet lunch in a private room - food was tasty and plentiful and staff could not have been more helpful. Previous meals in the conservatory restaurant have also been delicious and excellent value for money.

Where shall I begin? The Northfield House Hotel is right next to a bus stop of the 31, going straight into the city to Princes Street. This is perfect to discover the city on foot, while your car is parked at the hotel. The staff of the Northfield House Hotel is super friendly. Very helpful! Breakfast was very good. The...

I recently booked a room here on booking.com. I work in hotels and as I was booking for my father I ensured I booked a flexible rate that could be cancelled at any time and my fathers diary changed frequently! I called as received email to say the booking has been cancelled. I called the hotel to find out what...
