We found this accommodation to be cosy, comfortable and fantastic value for money. We had our own mini apartment with bedroom, bathroom and sitting room complete with TV and fridge (containing a welcome bottle of cava :-)). Breakfast was at a time of our choice and made to order. The location was excellent for exploring the nearby Pentland Hills but...

We stayed for one night and were so pleased with everything - the accommodation was clean & tidy, comfortable & well-equipped. Having our own entrance was a bonus as we didn't disturb anyone when we came in late. Sandra was very welcoming and helpful, providing directions and bus timetables if we wanted to go into town. The breakfast was absolutely...

We absolutely loved this apartment!! It met our every need and provided a level of luxury after days of touring. Thank you Gillian! It became our home away from home!! The attention to detail is Perfection. Just fabulous! The apartment has every item you would need and the location is great. A short walk to the royal mile. Loved it...

We have stayed several times now, and every visit is enjoyable. Sandra and her lovely family are kind, respectful yet full of enthusiasm, knowledge, and often a lovely story to tell. Sandra looks after you so well, with a lovely breakfast, and bundles of fresh towels. The main road is quite noisy, but everything else makes up for that. Free...

We stayed to attend a gig at the corn exchange. Sandra, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful in offering advice on how to get there, bus timetables etc.Room was clean and tidy with refreshments including tea, coffee and snacks. We had out own key for access also so no worries about disturbing others on our return. Beautiful building and a...

I stumbled across this amazing venue by chance after being annoyed by the travelodge i was staying at in the City Centre. The travelodge was more expensive with no parking and no internet access, and everyone is aware of the poor quality food that is served as breakfast, I got my keys to the room abd walked into a room...

Artii 100, who's write up slated the Old Schoolhouse B&B has their location completely mixed up! The location that was mentioned is a HOSTEL not a bed & breakfast. I can understand their being dissatisfied with that type of accommodation. The Schoolhouse B&B is a comfortable, clean, warm & cosy place giving above standard of care & attention. The breakfast was up to...

Unfortunately my room was right by a busy road. I was woken up many times throughout the night. Apart from that it was lovely. Small but big enough. A lovely breakfast and nice snack by the tea facilities in the room. Great tv service as well. Lovely warm water in the shower. Bottled water available and home baked treats for...

The only good thing about this hostel was the location and its affordable prices. The reception and the actual hostel are situated on different addresses so on arrival we stopped with the taxi to check in and get our keys but we are told that the person responsible for check in it is not there and supposedly he will come...
