We stayed at Blinkbonny House twice, at either end of our trip to the highlands. We had both upstairs rooms, which were comfortable and quiet, with a nice shared bath. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and Shaun was very hospitable and helpful. The location is nice if you want a quiet place on the outskirts of Edinburgh - we took...

A very nice B&B and we love Shaun. So hospitable and helpful. Comfortable and clean accommodations. Would recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Would suggest better lighting in the upstairs bathroom and perhaps an extra electrical outlet.

We so enjoyed our stay at Blinkbonny House in Edinburgh! This lovely, peaceful B&B on the edge of the city is ideally placed for getting away from the traffic and noise of the city and still close enough to go anywhere quickly and easily. We were grateful for the private bathroom (with shower) and very pleased that we couldn't hear...

Blinkbonny is a nice B&B on the edge of Edinburgh. It is an easy 20minute walk back to the main part of town, or a short bus ride a few steps from the door. The hosts are very pleasant and helpful with information about how to get around, and where to visit. The accommodations were excellent, with a large private...

Warm welcome by Shaun. Despite he was busy with cleaning the rooms, he take the time for us. Drinking coffee and chat with him. After 3/4 of a hour chatting we decide to go to the center of Edinburgh with tips from Shaun. The porridge is lovely as is the rest of the breakfast. Good location. When you know the...

I got tickets for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo last december as a Christmas gift for my hubby and at the time did look at accommodation but did not book due to the extortionate prices. When we did eventually book up we were very pleased with the location and the price for Blinkbonny House taking into account the Fringe and Tattoo...

A great location just a short bus ride from the city centre or 12 mins walk from the National Gallery of Modern Art. Shaun and Elaine were very welcome and friendly. A clean and well appointed room, nice house, an fine breakfast to set us up for a full day.

It was my first B&B and it was so nice! The house was lovely and very clean. Also surroundings were quiet and pleasant. Above all, owners are welcoming and so kind. I'm not a good English speaker, but they tried to understand me and make me being comfortable! You can reach there by bus from train station. You will fall...

Centrally located, easy to get to common tourist places and town centre. Upstairs room was perhaps a little a little dated but clean and well maintained. Slightly limited headroom with the sloping attic/roof. Didn't realise it was shared bathroom for upstairs but was no problem for us as there wasn't another couple. Good cooked breakfast, helpful and polite host. Thanks...

My plans to visit Scotland included different arrival and departure dates for my sister, wife and myself. Shaun and Elaine were able to accommodate us for the various dates over the three week period. During my multiple visits I got to know them pretty well and was always pleased with the support and advice they gave us in addition to...

“There are only 3 rooms, 1 up and 2 down. The upper room is very large and has a queen and a twin, great if you are traveling with more people or a child but it has a vaulted ceiling which poses a bit of a problem if you are tall. Not a big deal for a couple of nights but if you are staying longer, I'd request a ground floor room.”
