The room was a studio so had more space than the average hotel room, so was ideal for a slightly longer break in Edinburgh. It had a reasonably well equipped kitchen area with a little bottle of fresh milk in the fridge. The bed was a comfy double with decent pillows. The shower was nice and hot and the bathroom was a decent size, although no bath, which was fine. There is a also a hairdryer, iron and a safe.
Plenty of hangars in the wardrobe and really good blackout blinds. Although the hotel was located on a busy main road, we did not hear any noise from it at night.
There was no housekeeping service during our three night stay, although I think you can pay a bit extra if you wish to have this. However someone does come in and empty the bins during the day but that is all.
The hotel is located couple of minutes walk to George Street and maybe 5 minutes to Princes Street. It was probably around 20-25 minutes walk to the Old Town. Easy to find from the West End tram stop, which at the time of writing was where the tram ended and took approx. 20 minutes to walk from there to the hotel.
Would definitely stay here again.

This was a fantastic place to stay in Edinburgh, the rooms were extremely clean, and having a separate lounge/ kitchen area was exactly what we needed when we wanted to relax. The hotel itself was in a great location for easy access to all the city centre sights and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We will definitely stay at Native hotels again in the future.

We have just returned from a fantastic 2 night stay to native Edinburgh . We stayed in the studio apartment and it had everything we needed and was spacious for 2 people . The beds were very comfy, shower great and overall just a lovely stay . The staff on reception were lovely - so helpful and very pleasant . Only issue was no car parking without £20 night extra charge but website does clearly state this so we were aware of this . You can also have breakfast in a bag which is yoghurt , apple juice and a muffin - room has tea and coffee . It’s not a large breakfast but sets you up for the day & was enough for us . The apartments are also in a central location and we could walk everywhere we planned to go . Overall great stay , good value for money and we would definitely return .

Very nice hotel, the studio is well decorated, the location is ideal for visits to this magnificent city. The staff is so nice! I hadn't taken the breakfast option but still we could get a small bag for lunch every morning. The range of shower gel, shampoo and soaps available in the rooms smells to die for! Unfortunately I wasn't able to find it in France, too bad for me lol.
thank you

Comfy bed and pillows. Nice sofa and lounge space. Appreciated the abundant space and kitchen amenities. The one bedrooms also come with a laundry but didn’t include washing tablets although I’m certain the front desk would have happily provided if I asked. Really great location that is both central but set back just enough from the center of the city. The website and staff also provide great suggestions for local restaurants and cafes. Will definitely stay again!

The Native Edinburgh turned out to be a lifesaver. We arrived at the Native after 6 days in London. The convenience of having a washer and dryer in the room was like being at home. We were able to freshen up our clothes without having to over pack. We were in a suite which was extremely wonderful as it gave us a ton of room to live out of a suitcase, as well as enjoy the extra space to unwind. Our room was extremely quiet and thus had no issues with construction or street noise. Likewise, having a cook top and microwave helped keep costs down as we purchased some groceries and were able to have breakfast in the room. The Native is just around the corner from all forms of restaurants and shops. We were literally less than a mile away from Waverly train station. The staff helped with transportation and graciously gave us recommendations for local eateries. They were pleasant to speak with and never did we feel they felt burdened by our questions. This is a wonderful location and a delightful group of staff. We will definitely stay with them on our next trip to Edinburgh.

Currently here. The room is nice, however, My shower does not drain any water. I told the front desk the first night and was advised maintenance would come the next morning. I asked how I was supposed to use the shower with half of the shower floor still with a large pool of water that had already been sitting for 12 hours and was assured by the front desk ‘the water is clean’. When I said the water would have been sitting there for 24 hours by the time I showered again, the young lady at the front desk offered to come and clean it up with towels, which she did. She went above and beyond. She was the only one.
The next day (new puddle in half the shower floor again) I was told by the front desk staff that maintenance had come to check it out. Apparently, it’s how the building was built and there is nothing they can do about it. Maintenance didn’t even clean out the standing water and no one else offered to do it. So, I’m expected to shower in a huge puddle standing water that will have been there again for 24 hours. It’s absolutely disgusting.
The first night it happened I thought it was a maintenance issue and things happen so I wasn’t upset. Clearly, since the problem was because of how the bathroom was built this is not a new issue. The hotel just rents out the room knowing there’s a problem and expects you to deal with it.
Thankfully I’m leaving tomorrow. I would not recommend to anyone I know.

We booked a studio apartment for 4 nights in August. Location was perfect, close enough to bars, restaurants and all the comedy fringe venues were within a 30 mins walk.
Our studio was well appointed and well laid out. The kitchenette was ideal with everything we needed. The air con was much appreciated with the unusually warm weather this year.
We contacted the Native and requested a room on a higher floor in a quiet part of the hotel which they provided.
We also booked their onsite parking (£20 per night) directly with Native Edinburgh. The access is very tight down a windy access lane, getting in was more nerve wracking than leaving. My only criticism is that the directions for accessing the car park should be made clearer when booking . Access to the car park is down a side road before the hotel, once you have driven passed the front of the hotel you cannot simply turn around due the one way systems and no entry signs in place, this made it very stressful.
The staff at the Native were all lovely and very helpful, always greeted us with a smile and a hello. All correspondence was replied to quickly and efficiently and.nothing was too much trouble.
We would definitely stay here again ( and any other Native property).

Overall, the hotel is very good. Located on Angel Steet, the place is calm and peaceful (like almost everywhere in Edinburgh). It is located 20 minutes walk from the train station and 20 minutes walk from the Old Town and its attractions.

The hotel staff is very friendly and gives good advice. We planned an excursion with the hostess and everything went well.
The hotel offers free breakfast for those who did not take up the offer.

The only downside is that the size of the bed is 140cm, a little small for 2 people. Moreover, the rooms are well equipped with a small kitchenette, coffee machine, fridge and a large, very clean bathroom.

Very good value for money. I recommend.

Hi John, We have an onsite car park. Please note, that can only accommodate 4 cars and guests MUST pre-book this. We charge £20 per night. The entrance is tight and vehicles larger than H 1.8m W 2.4m will be unsuitable. Alternative parking can be found at the NCP Castle Terrace. I hope this helps, Jack
