The Travelodge Edinburgh Airport Ratho Station Hotel is frequently commended for its prime location near the airport, with ample transportation options, making it a favorite for guests seeking convenience. This travelodge is very close to the airport and handy especially as we had a hire car to deliver back to the airport. It is in a quiet area and the rooms were clean and comfortable.Braekfast was exceptional value especially if you have children as they eat for free at breakfast time. Limited menu available in the evening I stayed due to staff problems but meal was satisfactory.

We stayed here the night of Saturday 23rd September for one night, check in was fast and friendly and all the information was given unprompted. Room is basic but perfect for the one night, clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean and only downside was the shower curtain which really didn't keep water in but otherwise perfect for a nice comfy one night stay.
The best thing however was the breakfast, we hadn't pre booked so we paid for it and it was well worth the £9.99 pp, plenty of choice and the hot breakfast was cooked perfectly. The morning staff (Steph and team) were very friendly and on the ball, tables were available and clean on a timely manner while guest didn't have to wait long to be seated. Definitely the highlight of our stay. Thanks a lot to the team! We will book again.

We paid £30 for the night which being close to the airport was excellent value for money.
The wifi was a bit complicated to subscribe to. We payed £3 to get wifi but it was limited to a max of two devices. Free 30 minute offer only allowed one time access irrespective of how long I was logged on. I used it for 5 mins and then logged off. I tried to go back on agsin layer but was denied access.

When I booked the hotel, the website advertised free wifi. However, you only get 30 minutes of free wifi per 24 hours. So to actually use the wifi for anything useful, you have to pay (£3 per day).

The soap dispenser in the bathroom was also broken; it was dripping soap, but would not dispense soap when I wanted it to.

On the plus side, the location is convenient (5 minute walk from the bus stop with lines to the airport and Edinburgh) and the room, other than the dripping soap, was clean.

I flew from Düsseldorf to Edinburgh for 2 nights at the end of February and in spite of the renovations that were taking place, had a very comfortable stay. I arrived before the pre-booked early check-in time at 12:00 and Pawel on reception did his very best to find a room which was available for me - I had left home at 02:30 and wanted to rest before attending a funeral later in the afternoon. The newly renovated room was cosy and very clean, and Pawel gave me a room overlooking the car park as it was quieter. I had breakfast twice at the hotel which had lots of vegan options. The kitchen is right next door to the newly renovated boutique-style dining/bar area. Food was fresh and Vaibhal, who was very helpful and friendly, topped up the dishes regularly. The hotel (Travelodge Edinburgh Airport Ratho Station) was easy to get to with the rental car, has free parking and easy access to M8.
At the end of my visit I wanted to show my appreciation and give Pawel and his colleagues a tip, yet Pawel refused the tip and his message was that we‘re all human and it was their pleasure to take care of me. It was very touching. In short, the new renovations, the excellent price, and the exceptional human-based customer service made my stay very memorable, especially at a sensitive time. A special thank you to Pavel & Olivia on reception and Vaibhai at breakfast!

A friend and i chose this hotel for its proximity to an event we were attending. We booked an accessible room with wetroom on the ground floor.

To corporate Travelodge: i ask that you consult a diversity of disabled travellers when designing your accessible rooms. Most disabled people are not wheelchair users, and should have their needs met as well. For one thing, please install proper sockets by the bed in addition to USB ports (some of us use equipment at night that have 3 pin plugs); please have something nearby to lean on/grab when getting up from your very low beds; please install proper wetroom shower curtains that hang to the floor to keep the water from running all over the bathroom; when you install towel bars, please put them close to the shower; please don't install the sink soap dispenser below the sink so that it drips soap onto the floor every time it's used; please install hooks in the room as the style of hangers you provide are very awkward for disabled people; and the doors to the rooms are too heavy to open for most disabled people, in general.

We were pleasantly surprised by the menu variety for breakfast and dinner. There are delicious vegan options for both meals.

Although the X18 brings you directly to the nearby Ratho Station stop from Waverley, a wonderful taxi service is also available. City Taxis always arrived on time. Their drivers took extra care with their disabled passengers, assisting with luggage and accessing the vehicle. We found them very helpful and courteous.

What makes one Travelodge different from another is its staff. And we want to especially commend the good people who looked after us so well: Jo, Emma, Burk, and Vaibhav. Thank you for your excellent customer service throughout our stay. From the warm welcome that greeted us to your friendly and cheery service each day, you made it a pleasure to stay there. Thank you all very much. We look forward to seeing you next year!

First we were placed into a room with one double bed and 2 mattresses on the floor (WITH NO BEDSHEETS OR COVERS)

We complained and got a new room.

We tried eating in the hotel on our second night, it was very quiet (should have took notice) we ordered our food and it took 30 - 40 minutes to come.

The food arrived and looked okay at first glance. I took one bite of my “crispy buttermilk chicken burger”

I can confirm what I was given was not a crispy chicken burger. More like a roll with radioactive waste in between some veg and garlic mayo. The chips that came with it were obviously stale and just re heated leftovers

The chicken that some one travelling with me got was barely cooked right probably a health hazard tbh. Dinner for 3 cost 45 pound with no drinks just water. the quality of the food honestly lacks so much that McDonald’s would be better..

The location of the hotel isn’t the best either, busses run pretty frequently tho so we didn’t think too much of a problem at first.

The noise of aeroplanes going over our heads every night is also quite distracting but hey ho what do you expect staying right beside an airport.

Only use I see this hotel having is a temporary stay after or before a flight. I do not recommend.

The staff were polite tho.

We used this hotel as I had to go into Edinburgh for a procedure and the price of hotels in the city the Saturday before Xmas were ridiculous. We have stayed at this Travelodge before and have always found it to be good. The price complete with breakfast for this time of year was very reasonable. Check in was swift and very efficient and I picked on the receptionists knowledge regarding transport and nothing was too much trouble for her, she went out of her way to accommodate our needs, so a big thank you. The room itself was large, clean with a very comfortable bed. Toilet clean with a good shower. Breakfast was good, plenty of good choices and piping hot. We had breakfast here twice and could not fault it. We also ate at night time both nights as I could not travel at night and although the choices were a little limited the food was excellent, well cooked and lovely and hot for a cold winters night. If travelling to Edinburgh again (hopefully next time for some us time) would not hesitate to stay here again. Bus stop straight across the road into the heart of Edinburgh and we got a taxi back which only cost £25.00 - not £50.00 as stated in some travel sites. All in all more than we expected. Keep up the good work to all concerned.

Rats all over. Human poo outside the main entrance from a evicted customer. Scruffy staff with no customer service skills what so ever and missing items from the menu. Fixings all around the hotel and in the room where broken. Cleaners must be blind if there is any and the noise inside from customers rooms invade your own room and outside. Got a refund and went to Premier Inn. Would not keep dogs in this hotel never mind humans pay the extra and avoid this dump

We stayed one night in the Travelodge at Ratho Station near Edinburgh Airport, where we have stayed many times before. This hotel never fails to please. It is clean, warm, with very pleasant, helpful staff. The rooms are well equipped with USB ports, good lighting, tea/coffee making facilities etc. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

The hotel people happily and efficiently arrange for taxi service, though. My taxi was at 03:00, and was excellent.
