    The Mercure hotel is right on princes street, it's in a great place for shops, restaurants and transport. We were lucky enough to have a brilliant view of the city from our room. The staff were helpful, rooms clean and the breakfast was very good....More

    Think you'd be best asking for a room with a view, I got round the back when I visited, I didn't mind as it was lovely and quiet - the front is noisy. depends if you prefer the view over the noise. can't remember 're safety... More
